We have been like this so long we don't even realize how terribly we are constricted by this lingering scar tissue.

The healing process may have to be as painful as the original wounds that got us to this point.

Someone has to put us in the salt bath and take a scouring pad to the old wounds. We will scream and cry and curse, but if we are ever going to really heal; it has to be done.
