Rasmussen daily graph for 3/19/08 - Obama up 2 (47), Clinton down 2 (42)
Whew.

(Pretend that the 10 and 20 lines are actually 0. Does anyone know how to make Excel label different parts of the axis differently?)

Gallup daily poll will show up here: http://www.gallup.com

These Rasmussen graphs are all contained on one Web page at http://www.dvorkin.com/rastrack.html

14. I gather it's not getting realtime coverage
The second speech may have to be spread virally.

18. Yesterday, the Obama campaign e-mailed a link to the speech
Both the video and the transcript, on the campaign Web site. No doubt their mailing list is huge, so if they do that with today's speech, as they surely will, that should get the ball rolling, or help keep it rolling.

30. It was a fair amount of work
I started nearer the beginning, though, when there was less to enter. Now I just have to enter two new numbers each day.

16. Those predicting an early demise were obviously --- WRONG!
Gawd, all that sky is falling stuff was way an over-reaction.

The American people, on balance, are wise enough to separate Wrights words from Obama the man.

Happy to see he probably has passed through this road bump....

GoBAMA!

17. I keep saying, look at long-term trends
Which, of course, my spiffy and beautiful charts make it easy to do, but never mind that, I'm not posting this just to boost my own spiffy and beautiful charts.

Rasmussen and the others give us rolling averages, so a day or two of unusually high or low results can cause exhilarating or depressing short-term trends. Long-term trends are more meaningful.

Defining "long term" appropriately is a another issue, though.

20. Oh, there'll be something else
There always is. It may be nothing, but it will be touted as the thing that will destroy Obama. Much noise will be made about it, by rightwing radio spewers, by GOP functionaries, and by Clinton surrogates.

It's depressingly predictable.

22. Yes there will be more scum dredged up from the scum of the kitchen sink.
The filthy, rotten, muckraking campaign of Hillary Clinton has exposed her as a vile, power-hungry cretin.

She is only hurting herself in the long-term.

and Obama has weeks to shore up his support. I believe that he will be our nominee.

33. While I don't put much stock
in polls, it is interesting to note that not all of them are showing Obama tanking.

So much for the gleeful crowing of the Hillary supporters who may be premature in their reports of Obama's demise.
