Does the public know that John McCain voted against a holiday for MLK?
Let us not forget that McCain has over a 20 year record of votes (and liabilities) that he has never had to answer for. When faced with a Dem nominee, the public will find out more about McCain and his numbers will drop.

2. The problem is there isn't a liberal media
The Dems lack the ability to get that message out there, because there isn't a Democratic version of FAUX news.

3. Always pissed me off when I worked in Big Corporate (Intel) that we never
got that day off in the holiday schedule. Bunch of RW'rs at the top of the food chain there.

4. You think that would hurt him?
He probably would get more votes because of it.

5. Let's be fair here
He didn't vote against the holiday itself, he voted against making it a "mandatory federal holiday" and so did many Dems. Like Presidents Day, it falls on a weekday so by voting against making it federal, this gives small companies who can't always pay their employees for so many federal holidays the option of using it for a holiday or allowing for a floating holiday.

7. He might be smart to use one of Obama's excuses
since they seem to work.

I didn't know, I was unaware, that vote was a tactical decision to get a better bill, I wasn't in the pew that day...
