Huckabee was always one of the more openminded and understanding of the presidential candidates:

1. Huckabee wants more 15 minutes. He's an ass who runs around
saying that legalized abortion is holocaust, and that gay men are a public health hazard, so there's a bit of self-interest going on there, obviously.

6. He said that having grown up in the segrated south himself
that he would have been pretty P.O'ed about being told where to sit, what bathroom to use, what entrance to go into, etc and that he doesn't fault Wright for his anger.

16. He won't release his own sermons--he doesn't want the "Wright" treatment.

3. I always liked Huckabee
Not as a president, mind you, but personally. To bad about some of his batshit crazy opinions.

8. I think he represents the average American
Having integrity and good intentions, but being misguided by crazy beliefs.

of his old sermons to the public. If people can't see the self-interest here, then we're stupider on DU than I thought. Huckabee said all sorts of terrible things as a preacher, and just doesn't want to be held to the same spotlight and standard as Wright.

7. Come on guys, cut him a lil slack
that was really well put and simple, without a lot of mixed partisanship.

it takes guts for a guy in his position politically as a conservative to say that and he didn't let "dead secretary joe" lead him off track.

kinda sad when mike huckabee is standing up for obama more than some of our fellow democrats are around here.

18. I can't stand him either
BUT it does say something when mike huckabee is defending barack obama while some of his fellow democrats are slamming him with newsmax articles.

17. You can feel the uncomforatableness ...
if that is a word, of Mika everytime she asks a question about race, and the arrogance of Scarborough and how he always has to bring up five days after 911 as though everyone was suppose to not talk or speak their opinion on anything having to do with it either if, it was somehow perceived as negative.

Scarborough also likes to say that pastor wright blamed the victims, which I don't believe. Scarborough always sums it up with something negative that a black person has said or done as though he cannot admit the history of this country,he seems to like most repubs do,pretend that everything was and is fantastic now and that all people in this country get along..
