I have never seen a campaign as negative as Hillary's. Prayin' for Obama to fall. |
|
Going through all the different blogs, the theme from the Hillary supporters is all anti-Obama, all "he's going to lose the G.E.", all bringing up another scandal that'll destroy him, etc. Let's put aside Obama for a moment. Exactly, why the heck should anyone vote FOR Hillary? She isn't remotely interested in giving anyone an answer to that, other than the vague notion she has more "experience", a more tenuous position as the facts come out and cast more doubt on how valuable that experience really was.
So now it comes down to fear. Vote for Obama at your peril. You vote for Obama and you'll regret it. Thank GOD the superdelegates can override the voters and save us from an Obama nomination. That's all the Hillary campaign is about now. In a word, it is depressing. Say her cynical strategy works and she becomes the nominee. You're telling me a full out negative campaign is how she persuades the narrow 10 percent she needs to win the whole thing? After all, 41% said they would never, ever, ever vote for her. Now she is messing with her own base. And with all the negativity, she's going to persuade the Independents and moderate Republicans???!!!???
Mark my words: if Obama is unelectable, if the Clinton campaign gets their dream of The Unelectable Obama, then their dream of getting back to the WH will be DEAD. It is inevitable that their short term strategy spells long term disaster for them.

1. The entire idea is to keep Obama from getting within 10 ft of the White House |

Her entire strategy is to keep Obama from getting within 10 ft of the White House If Obama gets in, he'll be there 8 years, which would make Clinton 68 years old before her next shot. She needs to sink him now because if McCain gets in instead, she'll only have to wait 4 years.
It's nothing if not evil.

5. I think the strategy is to beat McCain this time around after eliminating |

Obama from the race, or if Obama if the candidate, ensure a McCain win so she can run against him in 2012. I think she is dreaming. I think Hillary is the single candidate whom the Republicans have a chance against this time around. I agree with Obama that we can't afford to wait another four years to address our problems.
