Is Hillary a "Beacon of Hope" for American Females who don't do "Girls Gone Wild?"
Edited on Wed Mar-19-08 05:41 PM by KoKo01
All the "Mainstream Corporate Media" Females see today...is all about "Stipping, Bumping and Grinding, Taking it All Off and Prostituting Yourself for a living amongst Elected Politico's."

This is the antithesis of what the "Women's Movement in the 60's/70's was about.

THERE IS NO ONE FROM THOSE YEARS...who raised our Daughters to be PROSTITUTES TO WALL STREET or POLITICS!

Does anyone remember Marlo Thomas and "Free to be You and Me" that taught a Generation of Young Women what your "self worth" was all about?

I guess Marlo and all us MOMS were not successful...when MONEY and MTV and OTHER Cable Channels called them to be PROSTITUTES for MEDIA or for MEN IN POWER.

We need to have a National Dialog about what "Girls Gone Wild" REALLY MEANS ...to American Culture...and it's as important as what it means to Politicians and Wall Street.com.

If our Daughters and other female family memebers think "CELEBRITY AND STRIPPING" is the Way to Go...to have a career...because you get in a MOVIE...and your FAME from that...what are we telling the young Females of America?

I would not want to raise my daughter to be a Whore for the RICH AND FAMOUS? Would You? Even if she brought home money that allowed you, her parents, to live a life style that was beyond your means?

Hillary is a BRIGHT/STRONG Personality for YOUNG FEMALES OF AMERICA! She has SURVIVED IT ALL..and it's through her Education and her Experience with the WORST RW MALES could throw at her! She survived Mellon-Scaife and Falwell's ATTACTS... SHE IS A FIGHTER...and is very attractive and well spoken. That appeals to those looking for an "ALTERNATIVE!"

Now I truly have no respect for her. I hate it when women do that. Getting mad at the other woman and degrading her when the dog sitting next to you is whimpering and crying puppy tears. I don't get why women react this way.

Personally, I have a door to my house and it swings outward.

As for who Kuiper is or how reliable she is... I'm not sure.

When Bill did "that thang" with Monica...she held herself UP and MOVED ON! She is a FIGHTER. And in a world of Spitzer's and the rest...she's shown her VALUES...will always hold her up ...and she will continue on...trying to make America Better and providing HEALTH CARE for ALL!

Remember "Health Care for AMERICA" was why she was TRASHED by the RW and even her own HUSBAND!

27. NO! Message is...I have My Life/My Degree's and I can CARRY ON ...with My Own Agenda!
Edited on Wed Mar-19-08 06:21 PM by KoKo01
That's what Hillary did. She had her OWN CREDENTIALS...and unlike Laura Bush...and Cindy McCain...she WENT ON...with HER OWN AGENDA to the US SENATE!

That's what all Young Girls want to see as a Role Model. If your "Partner SCREWS UP ...you need to have CREDENTIALS through EDUCATION and SELF AWARENESS/PRIDE..to get you through it. And...to know how to have learned to have "means on your own" to LIVE.

ALL FEMALES ...no matter how little education or resources they have...should try to use Hillary as an Example! Because frankly Bill behaved like a seedy/scum when he did that "cigar thing" with Monica.

Hillary stood above that...but what does it say about Bill and Elliot Spitzer with their GREAT Educations from Prestigious Schools that they end up like RW Fundie Repugs..."goin down and dirty" with the Prostitutes and "willing females" who open their vagina's for FAME...and FORTUNE $$$$$$$$$$'s~

Hillary Focused on "What she wanted to do to SERVE AMERICA" while the "Alpha Males" like Spitzer and Bill went after "easy stuff." In Bill's instance it was FREE (with RW Ties) from Monica...in Spitzer's experience...he "paid for High Diamonds."

That's what it's about. Hillary held true to her roots. I might not like her...but I do RESPECT HER!

Pickles has an MLS and taught school for a few years; Cindy has a masters in Special Education, has written a book about special ed, has taught special ed, and founded her own charity. One could make a compelling argument that John McCain would be NOWHERE without her.

Both of them are strong women in their own right, but women who have made bad choices.

How is that different than Hillary?

31. Pretty sure she was the definition of doormat
in that particular incident. She didn't "move on," she accepted Bill's cheating with hardly a comment. That's her choice if it's how she chooses to deal with the situation, but implying that she stood up for herself in that situation is...ridiculous. What message does that send? Ladies, it's okay if your man has an affair as long as he's rich and powerful!

9. Well, all those "Girls gone Wild" came from somewhere.
I don't think Hillary is a beacon of hope for females. We females boomers raised these young women (mothers and granddaughters alike). Do we have no responsibility in this? I know how I raised my daughter and how she is raising hers. We are educated females who have been working mothers and we can do both and do it well. It starts at home and with setting limits. Part of the problem, as I see it, is that too many of us can't live without luxury goods, fancy clothes, cars, appliances, and doodads so we need to earn much more. Or, we go into debt and have to work off our overindulgences or seek easy money elsewhere (e.g. playing the lottery or by illegal mean). What needs to happen is America is a radical shift on many levels--a redefining of the American dream and what it means to be a person in this society. "Girls gone Wild" is a symptom of a bigger problem. What is our culture selling and what have we been buying? It starts with us.

I'm on board with you when it comes to being against the "Girls Gone Wild" school of raising young women.

But to some extent I think Hillary has sold herself down the river for power, and therefore isn't as great an alternative role model as she could be.

She hasn't sold her body, but she's sold other things that are just as important.

I don't get all this "fighter" talk. She didn't fight for single payer healthcare. She didn't fight to end the Iraq war. She didn't fight against NAFTA.

The only "fight" she's fought is the RW smear machine that benefited from Bill's dropped pants.

And if she'd "won" that fight, she'd be the landslide nominee.

http://money.cnn.com/2006/07/12/news/newsmakers/healthcare_clinton/index.htm

Clinton, the only Democrat to be in the top five in total donations from the sector, is also the No. 1 senator in terms of donations from nurses and health professionals, and the No. 2 recipient of donations from employees of hospitals and nursing homes, as well as insurance companies.

The center's Web site shows that the sector is not the top contributor to Clinton. Donations from lawyers, retirees as well as Wall Street, real estate and the entertainment industries have all topped her contributions from health care. She is also the No. 1 recipient from each of those sectors.

And here is something for dinner:

I think that there have always been Female Promoters...and that "some" have been very sucessful at their "trade." They would be better spending their time on educating themselves in other trades and occupations for the "long haul" that might not make as much $$$$$$$$$$$$$'s but would be more long term for fulfullment and steady income.

Obama will be a role model for blacks. The media is trying to make blacks into uneducated gangsters, but Obama is one of the few blacks in the media who doesn't act like that.

edit: not trying to sound like an ass by posting this, I understand your point, but I wanted to throw that out there just for the record.

63. He is an incredible model....for all of us.....
in what he says and what he's done with his life ....given what he's gone through. And, I have no doubt that neither he nor Michelle would want either of their daughters on "Girls Gone Wild" or bedding the Rich and Famous...even if they are Governors or Mafia Dons. :-(
