Breaking: Clinton Document Dump reveals Hillary lied and did backed NAFTA!!!
This, from the tail end of an AP story, is the first hint of news I've seen out of Clinton's White House schedules:

She was also involved in helping her husband win congressional approval of the North American Free Trade Agreement, a deal she now criticizes and says she would try to change.

Her schedule for Nov. 10, 1993, shows her speaking at a NAFTA briefing closed to the media, with 120 people expected to attend.

http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0308/From_the_schedules_Working_on_Nafta.html#comments

Uhh oh... It looks like she lied about being opposed to it. "Shame on you Barack Obama" lol I guess that was all political theater. Looks like he didn't distort her view after all.

I am sure Clinton supporters will agree with this instead of trying to debunk it because it is from politico(which must be right wing and sexist since it has criticized Clinton in this article) :sarcasm:

19. Totally unfair assessment on your part
Paper isn't sexist -- only math, data and recorded schedules are sexist.

Paper is racist.

5. She made "brief remarks" at a meeting
What was the content of those remarks?

It's sort of hard to come to your conclusion without answering that question.

6. Did you read this
"It wasn’t a drop-by it was organized around her participation," said one attendee. "Her remarks were totally pro-NAFTA and what a good thing it would be for the economy. There was no equivocation for her support for NAFTA at the time. Folks were pleased that she came by. If this is a still a question about what Hillary's position when she was First Lady, she was totally supportive if NAFTA.

28. Fair enough
Thank You for finding this. Do I accept that Hillary Clinton went to that meeting and spoke out for NAFTA. Yes. Do I know if she did so because she was actually behind this program? No. She could have been there as any member of the Clinton Administration, supporting a program FOR the Clinton Administration. David Gergen claims that Hillary was very much against NAFTA, wanting her Health Care plans worked on instead, (her focus).

So what am I to make of this? For what it is worth, I am an Obama supporter who sees this as potentially damaging to Senator Clinton's bid for the White House. What side of the fence was she on at that meeting? I have no way of knowing given what data I have access to in this link. I have no idea what motivates the two witnesses. What if the Clinton camp found two more witnesses from that meeting who favored Senator Clinton's assertions by saying that she opened this meeting by stating that she was there in support of her husband's program?

I am being as fair as I can by saying that there is not enough here to sway my opinion.

7. Given her praise of NAFTA in her book....and consistent praise until very recently....
...is it really hard to believe that she didn't voice any major concerns over the effects of NAFTA on the American worker?

9. Guess what, if Obama manages to get himself elected he will not do away with NAFTA.
And won't you be surprised? :silly: He is every bit the corporate whore that you believe Hillary is. I can't wait for the whining and crying from obama supporters when he doesn't live up to your expectation of him or his crap about "hope and change". That is if he even makes through the GE.

11. I don't believe she is in the pockets of corporations, I KNOW IT.
The DLC has made a career out of cozying up to corporate interests and she IS the DLC candidate.

The DLC and their corporate shills need to be excised like a tumor from the Democratic Party.

So please tell, what the fuck are you talking about when you say he won't "live up to your expectation" ?

The Hillary supporters are so obvious, they lie and spin just like she does.

13. I tuned into Lou Dobbs just to see if he would bring it up
Of course... nothing.

Dobbs is a liar and a phony. For years he bombarded viewers with segments about a war on the middle class, but when voting time comes around, suddenly he is a neutral independent.

Yeah right!

He wants McCain to win. He wants more of the same. He's sure that McCain can beat Hillary; hence, the silence on NAFTA while tearing into Obama for not wearing lapel pins.
