And kick and rec this thread to the greatest page, if you don't mind.

This message needs to be heard by more than just DU. It's the best post ever, in my opinion.

Thank you.

4. Thanks for #2.
Let's do it. It doesn't matter if you're for Obama or Hillary, this is the right thing for the party. We should not let ANY of our candidates be swiftboated.

10. he is not a sacred cow. why is it not ok for him to defend himself? he's a big boy...
Edited on Wed Mar-19-08 08:32 PM by annie1
and he shouldn't be afraid of the media looking into his pastor. i don't have a problem with his pastor but others do, he has explained himself, is the party supposed to run and protect him? let's see the man who is running for president handle a tiny itty bitty little "crisis". there's nothing wrong with that. THis is why it's good that the contest goes on imo, so people can see how he reacts when problems arise. he did a smart thing doing what he did in reaction, and it probably won a lot of people over. i was pretty impressed at his response. i was NOT impressed when pelosi ran to his aide after hil said "you can be my veep." i thought it was weak and i thought it made him look weak. i liked how he responded to it by himself. he stopped her right in her tracks. when pelosi had to step in, i was really unimpressed that she felt she had to. later on i recognized that maybe she did it as a warning to hil, but i thought he was fine without her rushing to his defense.

12. Excuse me, but Obama is a member of the Democratic party.
Just as Hilary is.

And in the media, this is NOT an "itty bitty little" crisis. The DNC should be backing him up, same as they should with Hilary if she were in a comparable situation.

This isn't just Barack Obama or Hilary Clinton running for President; it's the Democratic Party running for President.

18. That's right..it's the Democratic Party running
for President but there are two factions in the Dem Party and it's time the DNC stopped being so "neutral". This is about the m$$$$m and Dean knows full well how that plays out.

24. Well, what about Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson and their ilk
They are clearly RW Republican supporters. I guess for all the inflammatory remarks they've made in recent history they get a pass, eh?

And yes the Democratic Party should have O's back. I guess you don't think so...

17. I don't think the media interviews Dean much anymore...
because he tends to stay on-message, stick to the facts, and bashes Republicans pretty badly.

21. I wondered when I read that excellent post if there was a way to get it to a larger audience. Yes,
let's start with the DNC/Dean, but this needs a much larger audience than even that. Seriously.

NY Times even. Buzzflash? Anybody any other ideas.. we need readership for this in a major way, and sooner rather than later.
