Poll question: Obama's Philly Speech: Political success or political failure?
What do you think the "A More Perfect Union" will accomplish, politically speaking, for Barack Obama?

3. The speech was brilliant, but let's repost this in a month
We won't be able to gauge the effectiveness of this speech until at least after the PA primary.

6. Moral failure, used the civil rights movement and his tortured grandmother
to excuse his poor judgement of having a bigoted religious mentor for 20 years

5. I don't really care, politically. I'm losing faith in the voters
I think he did what was right, and really blew me away and made me proud to have him as a fellow American, and blazingly hopeful that he *could* be our Leader.

But "Pastorgate" is soo f*cking rediculous in my mind, and just so sick, and so indicitive of a cancer below the surface of this country that I don't know what to say. I'm so dissilusioned, and cannot believe that this stupid, stupid thing has become an issue.

So politically, I don't know, but I'm glad to have him as an American. Maybe we're not doomed with people like him around, but with the others, I don't know.

7. I think "Pastorgate" is a stupid term...
But Obama's speech was the best political speech I've heard since JFK's inauguration, and it may be better even than that, because of the way he dealt with specifics.

8. Has anyone ever been called for one of these National Polls?
I find it curious that so many people could be questioned for all the various polls that come about, yet I have only met one or two people in my life who had ever taken part in a poll - and those were for local candidates.

Polls are a dangerous thing.

9. I'm going to judge that - not by the pundits...

but by the YouTube hits.

Nearly anybody who sees it will be stronger in their support of him. It may take a week or so for it to really circulate...then another week for the polls to reflect it. My prediction: Stay tuned for a PA surprise.

10. Not only a success but a true historical landmark address.
One might even say 'presidential.'
