People have been criticizing Obama for |
sitting in a pew and listening to a pastor expound controversial subjects. Personally I see nothing wrong with that. If a person is only exposed to one side of controversy, how can he possibly form opinions that encompass the whole of a problem? One has to injest all sides in order to be able to write a speech like he delivered yesterday. The introspect he got has been well used, and I see a person who if is elected to the highest office is one who will look and discuss all sides of an issue and use that knowledge to make a reasoned judgement.

1. Obama has described Wright as his "moral compass" |
That is his own judgement.

5. A moral compass is more that just having someone |
pointing a certain direction then following that person blindly. It includes pointing out different paths a person can take and then being able to come to a moral conclusion.

most people were for the war in Iraq; does that make most people right?

While she sat in her "pew" as Bush preached for War, she sure as hell didn't get up and walk out.

7. Please forget the naysayers, shraby. I agree with you about that |
speech yesterday, it was awesome. This is a special, smart man who I can only hope will run our country. I went out and got his two books today, and will wear the Obama T-shirt I bought ASAP. I will even scrape away the pollen and apply that bumpersticker!
