Poll question: How many DUers would post the same material on this board if it were not anonymous? |
|

It would be interesting to know how many people here would post on this board if their real identity was publicly available. Would the rancor be reduced or would there be no effect?

I don't consider myself anonymous. Plus, I have to sleep at night. At some point.

5. Seeing how I was dumb enough to use my real name |
|
as my username, it's pretty clear I'd be posting the same stuff.

even though this is just a screen name the feelings I post are real. When someone calls me a name or disagrees with me or even praises me how I feel about it is the same as if it was all under my real name.

10. If my posts weren't anonymous, I'd still post the same material . . . but, then, I'd have to change |
|
my profile in order to send google searchers on a wild-goose chase. As it is now, on the few boards where I'm using my real name, folks have already figured out that I'm really a dominatrix posting from a dungeon in Canada.

14. Hidden profiles vs real name handles |
|
It's especially interesting that in the interests of greater anonymity some posters use hidden profiles, while others are so transparent as to use their real names as handles.
