The First Day of Spring and the First Day of Crotch Sniffer Season
This is not a pro or con candidate post, per se.

It IS a post about the difficulty anyone with the surname 'Clinton' will face in the US when running for office. It shows how twisted the right wing asshole brigade is and how much damage The Blow Job did.

Yesterday, we heard from ABC news (a sad state of affairs over there) that we can now say for certain Hillary was in residence on the day The Blue Dress was stained.

Today we hear that the right wing asshole platoon from Judicial Watch is demanding phone records for the same period. The National Archives has said, a while ago, actually, that it would take years to process it all. No matter. Rightwingerassholes want their salacious fodder and they want it NOW.

The Screech Monkeys will, no doubt, soon be out in force clucking about The Presidential Penis and its perceived and imagined and implied and inferred impact on the 08 primaries and the candidacy of the Good Ship Hillary.

We all knew this shit was coming. It is as predictable as Spring robins on northern lawns, swallows in Capistrano, and buzzards in Hinckley.

It is a phenomenon that, to me, is both boring and maddening.

It is also a reminder of why, while I love Bill overall, he is really stupid in some ways. Like thinking a near-child who sucks the Royal Dick would remain silent about it. Like thinking he could get away with any sexual matter when the impotent idiots on the other side would use ANYTHING to pull him down (thereby making their puny little man-things look bigger).

Obama wins this round ...... The Clenis will get more press than the Wright Stuff.

1. I support Obama but I don't want to rehash that BS against the Clintons
Edited on Thu Mar-20-08 08:50 AM by powergirl
It was a travesty that our nation had to be subjected to RW attacks in the nineties. I don't want to relive that crap again. Ugh!

9. Prepare to rehash..
:puke:

But the media will probably steer clear of asking her anything directly, because she was the victim..so in a way, she gains the sympathy "vote"...BUT it may also remind people of a time they do NOT want back...

It will return this picture back to the public consciousness..

2. The Almighty Clenis!!!!
I just knew we couldn't get through this election without The Clenis becoming a campaign issue.

And you're right... sex is waaaaay more interesting to the average Screech Monkey than race, which makes them all uncomfortable and squirmy.

The release of the First Lady records is just the beginning of The Clenis, ummm, hardening, as it were.

I posted this on another board when he was in office, think the board laughed all day. since I am over 80, it really made quiet a few young people laugh.

4. I Know. It's Not Like bu$h Never F*cked Around
Did he break up with CONdi? Or does he get his cheap thrills by laughing at all the death and destruction he's caused? As much as thinking about * in a sexual situation SICKENS me, there HAS to be something.

7. I could have lived the rest of my life without seeing the pictures of
Monica in the black hat greeting Bill in the rope line.. but yes, here it is again. And all they've found in the papers, evidently, is that Hillary was in the WH at the time. I'm not sure why that is relevant.

8. Relevance ......
I guess it depends on the object to which relevance is considered.

Relevant to the national weal? Nope.

Relevant to the world around us? Nope.

Relevant to the right wing winning/stealing another election? Absofuckinglutely.

11. Yes, you have definitely gone over to the dark side. Smug superiority?
That was supposed to be their drug of choice. We were supposed to accept human nature and, as you claim, keep our focus on important issues.

In this case, the relevance is that no dog barked ... the archives will continue to churn out true history of people who showed up and did their jobs. Some of us observe they performed well ... others disagree.

So we are on opposite sides - yet you try to offend ... that makes all the difference.

But you know perfectly well what I'm talking about.

I will now put you - all by your sorry little self - on my ignore list. I have never done this before. You should be really proud of yourself.

20. Wow.
I went back and read this poster's posts in this thread and my head is spinning from all the unintelligible gibberish. Not a single sentence that makes any sense at all.

What kind of drug addles a mind so utterly and completely? Whatever it is, I hope it is permanently banned for the sake of the future of the human race.

15. It's not just the media--lots here are doing it.
Two Bill Clinton's Penis threads--by the same poster, no less--were locked just this morning.

Sometimes I come here and think I have been magically transported back to 1998.

16. May As Well Ask the Sun Not to Shine
Edited on Thu Mar-20-08 09:51 AM by Crisco
If we go around asking our politicians to not ever be human with human weaknesses.

For every Democratic sex scandal, there are 10 across the aisle and it seems 1/2 are under age, 1/8 with mere children.

And yet, it's we Democrats who allow ourselves to be cowed into letting Democratic politicians' weaknesses become full-blown public scandals. New York residents were given no more than 48 hours to absorb the shock of the Spitzer scandal before being informed he would step down. 24 hours or less to consider it before Republicans started up with impeachment threats.

Gawd. Philip Giordano was fucking 10 year old girls and made a deal to stay in office 5 months beyond the time of his arrest. Where were the screams, beyond Buzzflash and DU?

And yet, three weeks ago when the NYT went to press with a story about a lobbyist John McCain may or may not have been sleeping with, but certainly had an inappropriate relationship with? Every Republican in the land trashed the Times and the scandal went away in two days. Two. Days.

We don't like press intimidation, we believe in the 1st Amendment. And yet, asking "please be even-handed" all the while the press shows us over and over and over it will not gets us nowhere. When will we stop asking and start demanding?

17. Hoo boy! do I agree with you!
WRT that McCain/lobbyist thing, even a lot of DUers were defending him. What's *that* about? Stockholm Syndrome? Pathological devotion to fair play?

We need to learn how to street fight.

19. Stockholm Syndrome
That's gotta be what's keeping * from being impeached, I swear.

I'm just as guilty as anyone for being devoted to fair-play, but then I'm a libra, so it's in my genes. Not everyone has that excuse :)

Why do Democrats keep forgetting that Bill Clinton had the highest ratings of his tenure while the Monica scandal was full-blown?

This is where you lost me. Get it straight - she was a woman. A grown woman.

That is all.

23. I know she was a grown woman ....... technically.
I used that argument a lot.

My reference was to the fact that she was too young - way too young - to be trusted with a secret like the one Clinton apparently expected she would keep. My comment goes to Clinton's judgment. It wasn't a commentary on Lewinsky.

Your characterization of her as being quite young bothered me a whole lot. It helps perpetuates a myth.
