A serious question as to what would happen if McCain became ill
and couldn't run for President.

What do you think would happen?

I personally think that the Reich wing would try to circumvent the election and keep Booshe in power another year.

Then there would be anarchy.

3. Hillary would leave the Democratic Party to take his place
She wants to be President so badly I could see her taking a sure chance over trying to unseat Obama for our nomination.

And we all know how those Ohio and Texas Republicans love her.

:sarcasm:

5. Then why did more republicans vote for Obama in those
two states? Well, they tied in Ohio among Republicans, but Obama did much better with them in TX.

8. Those were obviously NOT "real" Republicans
I mean they refused to respond to Rush's call to help his candidate beat Obama.

And you're right, it's the most dangerous.

13. The delegates at the convention would decide.
After that, if something happened to McCain, the V.P. nominee would run in his place.

15. While that could be the case, I don't think it has to be.
As long as all filing deadlines are met, I don't see why a party would be bound to the VP candidate if the POTUS candidate were to drop out for any reason, even after the convention.

17. Do you know what the filing deadlines are? Are you saying there could
be more than one Rethug candidate running if something happened to McCain after the convention?

16. He's not ill already? Just look at his positions.
Plus he cannot keep Iran/Iraqi or Shiites/Sunnis separate in his aging mind. Running for President is already taking a toll on him.
