Should all members of TUCC be condemned? |
|
There is so much harping on here about how Obama attended TUCC for 20 years, blah, blah, blah. No need to repeat it all. Since some are so set on condmening Obama for not leaving his church, should we just go all out and condemn every person who has had their child baptized by Rev. Wright? or every couple married by Rev. Wrigh? Or any person who has benefitted from the ministries built up by Rev. Wright? I know everyone thinks this is a really convenient way to undermine Obama's campaign, but doesn't anyone care about the wider repercussions?

1. TUCC should lose tax exempt status. And all hate speech should be condemned. |

So are we to assume all Clinton supporters believe that all members of churches such as TUCC should be condemned? Do you really want to go there? Because all this harping about Wright is taking you there to your own peril.

2. Gosh, you sound like the Republicans in Congress. |

You know the ones, they are willing to overlook the illegal activities of their President and Vice President, yet will condemn MoveOn.org over an ad that was honest, truthful, and called attention to the lies of the Bush Administration.
And just like those GOP Congress folks, condemning everyone would be overkill. But I have to wonder about a church that seems to be so political...perhaps the IRS needs to look into it.

7. I wish we had more congregations that were that engaged |
|
with the government policies that affects their congregants.
We used to call that grassroots organizing.

4. Yes! Let's roundly condemn all those good people who are building community |
|
for a potential shallow political gain for Hillary! Why not? They're only people and Hillary ahs nothing to lose.

8. It amazes me that . . . |
|
. . . with all the churches, synagogues and mosques in the world run by Christian, Jewish and Muslim wackos, one of the more tolerant and decent Christian denominations - the United Church of Christ - is now singed.
