1. Does this ad...
...vary from state to state? I thought I had seen a different version with the big red letters relating to something in Connecticut.

3. It varies based on what the bills would have done to each state
Kerry says the votes were against pork-barrel bills...Bush reinforces this by pointing out all the pork citizens of each state would have missed out on had the bills failed.

6. Yes it varies
They've had it running in Ohio too with the "systems built right here in Ohio" bull crap.

B*&#@ is EVIL!

And he lies...but the masses haven't figured that out yet.

5. so Kerry is supposed to
bring in pork projects to states other than his when he was senator? sounds like McCain's perogative to get that stuff through for Arizona, not Kerry.
Plus, couldn't this be easily be turned around? Bush is implying support for increased porkbarrel spending. Just what we need, more weapons designed to destroy the Russian army instead of funding for soft power.

10. He is actually very careful
I have seen both the PA version and the Ohio version of the ad. He changes the wording to fit the state. In PA he uses systems which are built in PA and in Ohio it is ones whose components are built in Ohio.

9. That's outstanding news

Because everywhere near me is locked up one way or another I only see the national cable versions of ads, and had no idea this was happening. Bush cannot be this stupid... okay, bad choice of phrase, but what you folks are describing is incredible. It's like ads urging the Iraq war because Saddam threatens the planet with a crawl saying 'And war in Iraq means jobs for Ohio.' Right out of STARSHIP TROOPERS.

Given a few viewings the average person will be disgusted by the implied slogan 'the war on terror is a jobs program.'

(Reminds me of Steve Forbes' 'I want a flat-tax that's a tax cut.')

13. That's weird
they're playing the same ad in Michigan saying that all that stuff was built in Michigan. Now they say AZ?

14. Washington has the plain ad
No added red letters...just the picture with various things going away. It seems to be a one note tune that they are singing against Kerry. They have nothing else.

I still thing the worst ad was the one that ended with Kerry saying, "I actually voted for it before I voted against it."

This latest ad hasn't had as much impact as the other ad.

15. That ad ran every 15-20 minutes on WTAE, an ABC affiliate while I
spent 6 hours in a hospital waiting room in W. PA.
