Speaking to what he called a "rowdy" crowd in Charlotte on Wednesday, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama pledged to end the war in Iraq and fight special interests, even as he acknowledged that "we're not going to be able to solve all these problems quickly."

Obama's appearance at Grady Cole Center followed a speech Wednesday morning in Fayetteville marking the fifth anniversary of the war.

The visits, his first in months to North Carolina, came seven weeks before the state's May 6 primary.

With former President Clinton coming to Charlotte Friday, the visits underscored the fact that for the first time in at least 20 years, North Carolina's primary could make a difference.

A day after delivering a major speech on race and politics, a relaxed Obama appeared before more than 2,500 people at Grady Cole Center. He was greeted by a deafening ovation and shouts of "We love you, Obama!"

"I love you, too," he replied.

10. that was a remark intended towards Bush's "you are either with us or against us"
sorry it didn't come across the correct way. My satire in the pm isn't as snarky as at midnight....

Too many cynics out there just waiting for the worst. Too afraid to actually believe. Come on i know you been burnt. but have some optimism.

13. And the beat goes on ...
The mediawhores can march themselves right off the cliff while people are wanting to hear what Obama has to say. They're tired of the m$$$$m manipulating the show.
