J. Rockefeller: "You don't get elected president if people don't like you...it's not rocket science"
Ok, HRC, let's forget that it's mathematically impossible for you to win this, let's go by your (un)likeability factor....

http://trailblazersblog.dallasnews.com/archives/2008/03/knowitalls-finish-last.html

Later in the day, Rockefeller told a reporter, "Democrats always make a mistake by nominating people who know everything on Earth there is to know about public policy. I introduced both Al Gore and John Kerry at their rallies. They knew all the policies, but people didn't connect with them.
"You don't get elected president if people don't like you. You can know everything there is to know about health care or global warming but you have to make that connection. It's not rocket science. You have to like the person to vote for them."

Asked if he felt Barack Obama is more like Bill Clinton than Hillary Clinton is?

"I think so, yes, in that respect," Rockefeller replied.

1. Last time I checked Clinton was leading the polls
So maybe Obama needs to drop out now for the good of the party.

2. She doesn't and never will lead any likeability polls.
Her negatives are much higher than Obama, right up there with McCain.

Ugh. His crap over the telecom issues with FISA was unreal.

He has got to go.

13. This has been the biggest lie of the election. Obviously, a LOT of people like her.
Despite attempts by supposed LIBERALS to cast her as "despicable", as one popular, idiotic post has on the Greatest chart now.

Don't people understand how this hurts Dem's if she is our nominee, or do they just not care?

They'd rather see McCain than a smart, capable, liberal WOMAN.

16. A LOT of people DONT like her
I'm not talking here either.

Obviously the Conservative base hates her like no tomorrow - a heck of a lot more than they like McCain. Throw in some of the more moderate Republicans with that too.

A lot of people in the middle don't necessarily hate her, they just still have Clinton Fatigue. The last thing in the world they want to hear about again is interns, stained dresses, Whitewater and all of the shit that was dredged up the last time Clintons were in the White House.

There are a sizeable chunk of people who are going to react in the general when the Repubs start parading it all out again: "Oh no not this shit again. I can't do this the next 4 years."

19. Its the truth
I'm not trying to be vile or insulting, that's politics. The Clintons would be the first to agree with me it is a challenge for them in the general.

People here like to live politics everyday, but for most people the whole Lewinsky thing was beyond annoying, not to mention everything else Starr tried to dredge up. No one wants to deal with that again, but the Repubs will certianly dish out a healthy dose of it.

I'll say in fairness, if the MSM keeps it up with Wright the populace will have the same reaction to those "God Damn America" videos. It will be "Ugh enough, I don't want to see that guy anymore, how do we stop it?"

20. Since WHEN have conservatives LIKED Dem nominees? It's a lie, perpetuated by people like you, who
don't seem to give a hoot about the election, and are willing to damage her candidacy yourselves if your candidate doesn't get the nod.

Did you know that 18% of Republican women said they would consider voting for her?

18. I wonder if he blogged this before or after he sold us out on FISA?
Make no mistake, he covered HIS ass by making notes of those secret meetings...but was way to willing to sell us out in the long run.
SO tell me again why this asshat's opinion is supposed to mean anything to me?
Judging by his past performance, old Jay is in this for Jay.
You support someone like that?
