McCain's Lead Growing?? Daily Presidential Tracking Poll
http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/daily_presidential_tracking_poll

Thursday, March 20, 2008

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows John McCain’s lead growing against both potential Democratic opponents. McCain currently leads Barack Obama 49% to 42% and Hillary Clinton 51% to 41% margin (see recent daily results). African-American support for Clinton has collapsed, falling to 55% in the general election match-up. Obama, on the other hand, earns solid support from African-American voters but attracts only 36% of white voters in a match-up with McCain.

1. Counter-intuitive, to say the least! Good old Rasmussen.

2. Clinton gets 55% of the black vote against McCain...LOL
Mission Accomplished, Billary. But I'm sure you think they'll all just come home for you in November in the unlikely event she's the nominee.

Put it this way: Obama's white vote number will go up much quicker than Hillary's black vote.

3. IF, when we do have a candidate,
it appears we'll be creamed by the Repubs, is there some recourse we, the Dems could take?

Is this where a brokered convention might come into play?

On one hand, it's unfathomable to me that the Republicans could take the Oval Office again, but that's what I thought last time around, too. I'll campaign like hell for whoever gets our nom, but if the numbers indicate he or she is not garnering the national vote, what then?

Thanks.

4. Not surprising
In their zest to bring Obama down to help Clinton the MSM is bringing both candidates down against McCain.

I know the Clintons WANT the MSM to attack Obama, but by not stepping forward and reassuring the public they dont believe Wright's words have influenced Obama they are doing our party a big disservice.

The Clintons need to understand that with the MSM today it may be Obama and race, butif she wins the nomination next it WILL be gender in play.
