Have you been to Reverend Wright's church in Chicago?

1. No - but i plan to go on my next business trip to Chicago

I have a trip in 3 weeks - and I've actually changed the booking so I can stay over the weekend to go.

I think it will be great - even though I am an Athiest through and through - i think everyone in America should
make a pilgrimage to Chicago to show support for this Church, this Reverend, and the people of that community.

It is vile - simply vile - what the MSM is doing to the reputation of that place.

3. Not to that particular church but to many U.C.C. churches

Dad was a minister in the faith, so I was raised UCC (Congregational).

It's a haul from where I live in the suburbs, but I'm willing to make the trip (if I can get my DH on board) to show support. Repeating the same 3 clips over and over again out of a 30 year career is pretty pathetic. The guy is a pastor, and on premise, I actually agree with much of what he said. I think some are just unwilling to really listen to what he was saying, or the whole context. With that said, he's also retiring, and there's a new pastor taking over. Seems like a great guy from what I've seen of him on tv.

(note - I'm a lily white, suburbanite, that grew up in central IL with family that YES was scared and had racial prejudices against AA people, despite all the foreigners married in to our family.)
