After much searching I finally found TRINITY CHURCH'S YouTube site

Of the tens of thousands of his sermons, only those 2 clips are known by the general public.

Looking at the number of hits on this site, NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT IT!

Send it to everyone in your address book, and ESPECIALLY THE MEDIA

With all the good works this church does, it would be a shame for their public image to be based on 2 clips that are not representative of Trinity Church or Rev. Wright.

This proves how the damn media has taken these sermons quite a bit out of context! The first one is the infamous "God Damn America". But guess what - Rev. Wright in most of the sermon is arguing that governments change! He lists our government's sins against African-Americans, Native Americans, Japanese-Americans, but he also notes how it changed. How Truman integrated the armed services. He briefly rails against Clinton for the welfare laws but then also praises his presidency. He rightly notes how the 2000 election was stolen. He rightly rails against how the Bush administration is a huge step backwards. How it turned against affirmative action. He notes how all governments fail from the Romans, to the Germans, to the mighty UK who ruled from sea to sea, and how God never fails! That's his belief. His railing is against the drug wars, prisons, 3-strike laws that put so many in prison, of which a large majority are African-Americans. That's the context of his God Damn America!

And haven't a lot of us railed against these very things and this very government in just as harsh a rhetoric as Rev Wright here on DU?

I just wish whomever posted this first video had let it continue through the entire sermon. But it does show how this first sermon was taken by the damn media so grossly out of context!

I look forward to watching the rest of the videos and judging for myself. And it's too bad there are Clinton supporters here so close minded and so willing to do anything to get Hillary to win the nomination that they are unwilling to spend the time to view these videos.

I have noticed time and again on here how blatantly Clinton supports are sounding like Republicans. At one point, we were ALL on the same page as this, but now that Clinton supporters can use these very ideals to make disparaging remarks about Barack Obama, the tables have suddenly turned. For some reason, a vote for Clinton means speaking out of the right side of one's mouth now rather than the left. Call me bewildered.
