Anderson's acting upset that his Rev. Wright toy has been taken away for one night
He just asked Eric Holder of the Obama campaign if he's trying to push this story to change the topic from Pastorgate...did Anderson expect an unlimited shelf life for the same four or five video clips he has been flogging for the past week?

Holder to his credit said, "we don't have to push anything."

1. Um, the State Dept. broke this story today--not Obama. Ridiculous.

edit to add: but it DOES tell you that the media had planned to keep milking the Wright story, and feel cheated now that they have to cover REAL news.

11. They made graphics for CNN, even
"Obama on the DEFENSIVE!" Now what will they do with them?

3. Time for Anderson Cooper to go back to New Orleans ...
... to check on the progress there. I thought he did good reporting from there.

8. That's good to hear, even if his trollish obsession with Wright is still disturbing
(My wife has had enough and House Hunters is on the tube now.)

So I reckon some props are due.

As to anyone on CNN or Fox- they're pretty shallow and transparent. I can't think of any one of their crews who could hold a candle to some of the kids I've judged in high school forensics. -much less college level, in a full and fair debate.

For the most part, what one sees on American TV are intellectually lazy people- incapable of incisive analysis and bereft of experience in logical debate.

I reckon if you tossed most any of 'em into something like CEDA, they'd stutter at the podium, unable to think halfway critically on their feet, without the teleprompter to tell them what to say. What you'd likely see would be the deer in the headlights look.

Ever seen that one? Or felt it, when you were unprepared. I have.

And these are supposedly America's "opinion leaders?"
