I have lost hope..

I will vote for who ever wins the democratic nomination.. but have lost hope they will win .. the fight between HC and BO wings of the party will leave a scar.. This is my last post here until after the GE.. It is just too painful to see a sure win go down in flames.. I HOPE I am wrong, but I have lost most of that hope.. Good Luck.. Please keep fighting and arranging deck chairs on the Titanic.. I feel so sad for the troops who McCain will keep in the sandbox the next 4/8 years..

2. Sam, there's always hope.
Sure, things look rather drear right now. But I promise you that most people feel as you do... we realize that we have to change the path that was set before us. That change WILL come.

In the meantime, would a hug help?

4. Cut it out! You're waving the white flag already?
If we give up at the first sign of political disarray, we deserve what we get. Come on! You're stronger than that. And the cause is so worth it.

In 2000 I didn't feel Gore would win....

Likewise in 2004 I had no sense Kerry would win....

Every ounce of my intuition says Obama will be the next POTUS for good or ill.

9. I share your pesimisim, but that will not stop me. The best thing you can do is turn of the MSM
If you MUST listen to some kind of television news, listen to Bloomberg. Yes, it is a business news channel, but their reporting of the news is pretty even handed, and they cover all positions

12. Aw jeez. I'm sorry. I don't want to be dismissive of your feelings. But ...
Get a grip already! Politics ain't beanbag. It requires a certain fortitude. Today is March 21. There are more than SEVEN MONTHS till the general election. Lots of things are going to happen: the nomination will be wrapped up, a running mate will be selected, the convention and the acceptance speech, the debates, the fall campaign. I don't know what will happen. Neither do you. But giving into amorphous pessimism is the absolute best way to ensure defeat.

17. I think most passionate people here know how you feel
I feel very discouraged in the turn toward the sewer in the campaign. But if you tune out now, not only will you miss the very hard turns to absorb, you will also miss the great moments such as the words Bill Richardson uttered today. THAT MADE ME FEEL SO HAPPY. Perhaps you might want to think about it a bit longer -- maybe take a time out, come back and limit the time you spend each day on the election. It wasn't that long ago, I felt like doing the same thing as you, but after a couple of days, set my limits and stick to them. It has helped.

Sam

19. Politics
What are you, ten? Dont be such a puss. This campaign is downright polite, compared to most in American history. Politics is an ugly business. That doesn't mean it can't lead to great things.
