Is This The Ticket?
Edited on Fri Mar-21-08 08:39 PM by Liberalboy

Is this the ticket? Richardson will motivate Hispanics, boost turnout in battleground states, and brings Elder Statesman and Foreign Policy to the table

Thoughts?

1. That would be a dream ticket for me.
I think Richardson would be a very valuable asset in Florida and New Mexico.

I really like Richardson too. Especially his knowledge of how behind we are in science education.

On a shallow note, he looks good sporting the beard.

11. Sure. If YOU want to ensure a LOSS in the GE.
Despite what obama and richardson 'think', this political election is NOT about race.

so it's okay for Hillary for months and months to tout getting the Hispanic vote, but if it's suggested by an Obama supporter regarding a Obama/Richardson ticket, you say it's not about race?

13. There was a poster earlier saying Richardson has too many skeletons in his closet.
I think the top two choices are Biden and Webb.

18. Don't think so.
Unless it creates a voting block that is bigger than all of the "not necessarily Racist" but FREAKED OUT nonetheless white folks whose paranoia will double without a white person on the ticket.

21. Two minorities? Forget it.
I'd vote for them, but that would be disastrous for the GE.

I'd like to see a Gore/Richardson ticket or an Obama/Edwards one.

23. That would work for me, but would it work for Richardson?
I'm a Kucinich and Edwards supporter, but the handwriting's on the wall on that one... But anyone who says that Obama lacks experience would have to admit that Richardson makes up for that, has a lot of experience in several areas, more than the other candidates. The only thing is that Richardson previously said that he has no interest in the second slot. He was running for president, but is more than happy in his job as governor. Time will tell...

29. At the risk of being accused of "ageism," I hope not.
I think Richardson is past his prime. He didn't seem really "with it" to me during his campaign this time -- too many odd answers, "not hearing the question" episodes, etc.
