Poll of DU:

Will they in their hearts hope that Barack Obama wins the presidency? Will they wholeheartedly support him? Or will they be ambivalent and say stuff like "Am I the only person in the country that likes both George Bush and John Kerry (insert Mccain for Bush/Obama for Kerry)?

2. I think that Nominee Designate Obama should it come to that
Should "throw them under the bus" and help somebody fund a primary challenge against LieberClinton for the NY senate seat.

4. It's hard to say.
Even before that what happens at the convention:
Bill is the former President - which leads to an interesting question. Will he be given a prominent speech in the limited network coverage time? In 2004, Kerry gave then 1 of his three hours - though he likely could have better used part of that time with a longer biography - giving Bill just a half hour. (This is not knocking Bill Clinton - Kerry needed to get his bio out and he had very little time really under his control. The other two hours were his and Edwards speeches - so there is nothing else to cut). Obama might prefer either Durbin or Kerry to give a speech - both have given excellent speeches about Obama (that are really about Obama not themselves).

Now, in 2004, Kerry gave both Jimmy Carter and Al Gore speeches - a kind gesture, especially in Carter's case and they were both good speeches. President Carter was not invited to speak in either of Clinton's conventions or Gore's. So - there is precedent either way - to give him a speech or not. In 2004, Kerry gave every rival a speech and this may be more common - even Carter gave Kennedy one. So, I would bet HRC gets one.

As to when he is President - I assume Clinton would want to stay involved. The question is whether their relationship would be as bad as Carter's and Clinton's.

7. gee, do you think Obama will ask those racists clinton to
go out and campaign for him?:sarcasm: Well, if obama gets the nomination then he will lose the general election and maybe he will go back into the woodwork. Hell, we had this election won till obama decided he had to "unite us". Guess, he is happy about how this has worked out.....

The Clintons will be just fine if Hillary does not get the nomination. Obama will be the new leader of the african americans and will set the dems back 16 plus years after his loss but for him he will be rewarded in the black community. The Clintons will be fine with his humanitarian work and she as Senator from New York....And I hope they stay in the spotlight for years to come, to remind you obama folks we could have won the election of 08, but you wanted the rookie and not the all star.....
