YES WE CAN....My funny story about my Grandson...
Edited on Fri Mar-21-08 11:22 PM by better tomorrow
Today I had my three year old grandson at my home. When Obama came on TV when Richardson was endorsing him, I held my finger up to my mouth and said, "Shhhh, ObamaMan is talking". He looked at me puzzled and said, "Grammie, I want to watch Teletubbies." Now, normally my heart would melt but I told him, "No, not this time." I figured since he had already taken to the Easter egg hunt and had his picture with the Easter Rabbit and got a bunch full of toys made in China from Walmart for his Easter gifts, it was ok for Grammie to tell him "No."

But, then feeling a little selfish, I changed my mind and said emphatically, "Yes We Can!" So, we switched to the Teletubbies DVD and I figured I'd catch Obama on YouTube later.

When he went home, his ultimately Conservative Republican father asked him how his day went.

Now, let me tell you, my son and law and I have some really heated discussions about politics. So you can imagine how upset he was when he asked his son how his day went with Grammie and what did we do to have fun? My grandson smiled at his Daddy and said, "Me and Grammie watched Obamaman!" and then he started shouting "Yes, we Can. No, not this time. Yes, we can". Needless to say, it will be a pretty quiet Easter dinner at my house Sunday....

9. my counterpunch to son in law on Sunday....
I was just reminded from another thread here of another ObamaMan phrase that I can use at the dinner table if anything comes up....."Well, it was JUST WORDS!"""""

Oh, I'm gonna have fun with this.

12. Liberal repetition of "yes you can" to your grandson, in front of the son-in-law ...
... should bring some pleasure.
