Where is Reverend Wright???
So where is he? How come he's not come out and explained his sermons? Has he disappeared off the face of the earth or has ObamaLand swallowed him up?

Why aren't reporters asking this???

1. Overseas vacation, so I heard....far, far away.
Wish I had a cite; I read it in the last week or so.

3. It might have been the interview Obama did with Larry King
It was some interview, anyway. Obama was asked if he had spoken with Wright when this all came out and Obama said he was on a cruise.

4. Rev. Wright????? A CRUISE???? How....oxymoronic!!!!!
He was the guy who said that cruise ships throw away more food in a day than people from Port au Prince, Haiti, see in a year, or something like that. It was a pretty confrontational statement about white folks' greed...

Maybe it's a charity cruise, a "help the poor" type cruise, and not CARNIVAL or DISNEY or what-have-you....

19. He was suppose to get an award from a group at a school like TCU I think, but
There was so much complaint from the student body at the school that they didn't want Wright there, so, the award will be given somewhere off campus.

6. Last I heard the Obama campaign put him on a boat.
He should probably be worried about cement shoes, if he has any sense left at all.

14. Why don't you tell us all about that. OK? Was it a long relationship, lasting decades?
Or was it a quick "Hi who the/how the fuck are you?" on a rope line before a prayer breakfast attended by a thousand or so people?

13. I've looked.....
I didn't care much for the hate in them.

It seems to me if Reverend Wright is so angered at the state of the world he would take the opportunity now that the whole world is watching to expound on his views. It's a golden opportunity for him, yet he disappears. hmmmmmmmmm

8. These sermons were public knowledge long ago.
There's no reason for it to suddenly be a big story now except that the networks got a video of it. Why should he be available to suddenly talk about sermons they could have asked him about a year ago?

15. Basically. He's got enough class not to want to waste time
with the race-obsessed bloodthirsty mob. Malcolm and Martin Luther King wouldn't have given it the time of day either.

Throw your temper tantrums and stamp your feet without him please. Or maybe you could do something more productive and open up a history book to understand.

Anyone with even a passing knowledge of the Old Testament prophets understands that the phrase "God damn, America" in a critique on American injustice is the same as Jeremiah's "woe unto you O Israel" or Elijah saying God damned Israel because Jezebel was worshipping Baal.

In other words, he won't, as the biblical saying goes, be tossing any pearls out before swine soon.

20. Why should he?
Is he running for elected office? Reporters are interested in humiliating a man who is exorcising his 1st amendment right to worship, and free speech.

They didn't bother to ask him anything when they created this controversy...why change their strategy now?
