Obama awash in cash as Clinton scrapes
This is the type of headline that combined that would doom Obama this late in the game if the roles were reversed:

Obama awash in cash as Clinton scrapes

March 21, 2008

FROM ASSOCIATED PRESS

WASHINGTON — Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton lived hand to mouth during the rush of presidential primaries while Democratic rival Sen. Barack Obama outspent her and put money in the bank.

New Federal Election Commission reports show Obama raised at a clip of nearly $2 million a day in February, an open spigot of money that left him with $30 million in the bank for March. Clinton had her best fundraising month as well, at $34.5 million.

But counting her debts to vendors she ended with a net $3 million. And that’s not factoring the $5 million she lent her campaign and has not paid back.

The current respite between primaries — the next one is April 22 in Pennsylvania — may cut back on some of the spending. It also denies the two campaigns the head-to-head contests that drive fundraising.

1. Yeah, but she has a history of not paying the bills left behind in previous States.
Especially if the don't count. :eyes: Guess that's how they manage cash flow.

2. Well, that explains the Bill Richardson endorsement

Richardson's presidential campaign has debts of nearly $391,000

SANTA FE (AP) - Governor Richardson's failed presidential campaign raised about $400,000 last month and repaid more than $700,000 in bank loans.
Richardson's campaign listed nearly $391,000 in debts at the end of January.

That's according to a fundraising disclosure report filed today with the Federal Election Commission.

4. I doubt Richardson was going to have a hard time raising 400K
The millions Clinton is in debt, is a different story. They won't actually have a hard time repaying those either in the long run, but it's hard to keep up with things that need to be paid currently, when the campaign is that much in debt.
