Which woman do you think would be a great President?
My choice would be someone like Naomi Wolf.

I also like Arianna Huffington and Naomi Klein (though I think Klein is Canadian).

I think any one of them would be vastly superior to HRC.

52. no she really is pretty awful
Every time I see a list of Democrats who have caved on some horrible piece of legislation and voted with the Republicans, her name is on it. And what is the justification? That she is from a dark red state like Montana, South Dakota, or North Dakota? No, she's from purple Missouri. That she needs to tack right in order to win re-election? Considering that she is not up for re-election until 2012, it seems kinda odd to be caving to the right in 2007. She seems to be a centrist just a little bit to the right of Chafee, but she did surprise me by endorsing Obama.

if we can let an Austrian-born half-wit who admires Hitler and barely speaks intelligible English become a CA state governor, then surely we can make another exception to the rule. :)

53. Arianna seems to ride with the angels now
but considering how she trashed Gore leading up to the 2000 election, I'd still be kinda leery of her. Didn't she also run for Governor of California, instead of promoting the Democratic Candidate? She's also had some very right wing writers doing editorials at Huffpo. Maybe not lately, but I have seen them linked.

58. Sebelius is, IMO
As a Kansan, I sometimes wonder what difference she has made as Governor. It doesn't help that the Republican legislature can pretty much over-ride her any time they want with just a few inevitable defections. And see my comment about McCaskill above.

Tammy? Either Naomi? Arianna? Rachel Maddow? Cynthia McKinney????? Sh can't even hold a majority black house seat without pissing off half the African Americans in the District.

Some of these ladies are smart and maybe even politically shrewd but that is not the same thing as being a politician...

But fror cripes sake... They should at least be current federal office holders or governors.

I am no fan of Hillary. but at least she has been elected and re-elected to something.

currently getting? i think we all know the answer to that question. the reality is, any hypothetical 'great' woman candidate will immediately lose at least 10-25% of her potential support, just for being a woman, and that's among 'progressives.'

Perhaps she would have a better shot at it if she ran in 2012 as a Republican candidate.
