My first and last post in GDP...
I have purposely chosen not to participate in the various pissing matches that have gone on in this forum. Why you ask? because I choose not to be part of a group of people that enjoy throwing verbal poop at one another. To term all of this a "flame" war would be belittling it.

That said.

What I find amusing and also grossly detrimental is the rhetoric and supposition that is on display in this forum as to who or which candidate is the best.

All the while, john mclame gets a free pass.

We are destroying ourselves with this asinine tit for tat bullshit. All this does is enable mclame and allows him a free ride on the cheap. He is running out of funds but by people in this forum continually stirring the pot and maintaining this truly epic level of stupidity with attacks on each of the democratic candidates only allows free room for mclame to maneuver.

As a result, come August when it has to go to the convention to decide who will be the candidate, we will have lost very precious ground to mclame with this stupid infighting.

History proves that a brokered convention is a lost election.

In a recent speech by Bill Richardson, the part of his speech that got the longest and loudest support was, to paraphrase, "we must stop attacking each other and attack mclame". No truer words have been spoken by any Democratic elected official as of late.

Get the idea?

If these ridiculous pissing matches continue, I can guarantee you, come november, mclame will become mcsame and we will essentially have another 4 years of moron.

Look a the big picture. You think things are bad now? wait until that happens. We will truly be fucked.

And at that point, who will we have to blame? Us. That's who.

Have fun flaming this post, I don't care. I will not be responding.

All I ask is just for all of you to think long and hard about what I wrote.

Peace.

Wingers are lucky in this. They can get behind any candidate, no matter how awful.

3. No flames here
I understand what you are telling us.

The thing is, the disharmony of one message board forum has little affect outside of that forum. The majority of us here have made our choice and will not be changing our minds.

We all want this nomination to be settled but we really aren't the ones who decide. That decision is up to the candidates. One of them will have to drop out. I only hope that day comes soon.

5. Are you going to read the replies?
I've already had my own very mild and mostly ignored OP in which I threatened not to post here, but I am back. Somehow, even for posters like me with feelings similar to yours, the energy here is addicting.

11. If McCain wins, this nation is lost.
Oh, not immediately, but it'll prove that only a calamity will enable Americans to ignore the MSM's lullabies and to look after their own interests.

I don't think America is quite that dumb. Pray I'm right.

17. yes
That may very well be true. While we can't control that, we could examine why it is we are so vulnerable to divide and conquer tactics, and why the opposition is relatively immune to that. That is but one area for discussion we could be pursuing that would make us stronger going into the general, and that is being ignored for the sake of indulging in an endless and very destructive pissing match about the two candidates.

14. I have said this before and I will say it for the final time.............
Divide and Conquer. I am 72 years old, have seen a lot and learned a lot so I believe I am qualified to say this. There is so much bickering and bad karma going on here that I very seldom check in any more. And while this is going on McCain is gathering more strength. One of these days in November the door will open and HERE'S JOHNNY! You will have no one to blame but yourselves. I am totally with you Javaman!

15. Just one fucking minute
The whole purpose of a section for "General Discussion: Primaries" is to have a place for these pissing contests that does not clutter up other discussion areas.

Am I wrong here?
