Has Nader gotten enough signatures to be on the ballot in any state |
|
requiring this? Aside from Gallup's rigged results, I haven't heard much about what's going with his campaign lately.

Here's what the Texas Democratic Party says:
Keep Ralph Nader off the Texas Ballot Ralph Nader’s chances of getting on the ballot in Texas do not look good- he needs at least 65,000 signatures by Monday and news reports say that many people, weary of George W. Bush and wary of throwing the election to the GOP by voting for Nader, are refusing to sign ballot access petitions. Remember, if you have voted in the Democratic primary you cannot sign Nader’s petitions (or those for any other third-party or independent candidates) and that a vote for Nader is a vote for Bush. We are here to elect Democrats because their vision is the right one for our country. Ralph Nader makes a point of attacking and trying to defeat Democrats. We need to make sure he is nowhere near a ballot in Texas.

Is Texas really within the Nader margin of electing Kerry?

I would hate to see Busholini carry Travis County like he did in 2000. That was shameful.

yay to our party for squishing democracy. which is exaclty what they are doing saying 'a vote for nader is a vote for bush'. surely you guys dont believe that? that was just democratic propaganda to get independents on board. statements like that will only DRIVE them away. last time i checked, we wanted them on board.
i wish our party WOULD GROW THE FREAK UP!
the supreme court STOLE the election, not naders 3%. and dont you forget it!
So much hatred for Nader when his idealogy is closest to alot of our own.
tis a shame.
i really dont think people need to attack nader, he simply just isnt a threat. I doubt he'll get even close to what he got last time. Unless repubs start voting for him. Which i think happened a lil in 2000 so everyone could blame him while they threw away votes and used the judicial branch to declare them victors.

it really doesn't matter in TX anyways. Kerry is very unlikely to win that state.
I'm more worried about WI, OR, MN, FL, NH, IA, OH, MI, and all the other swing states.

He is not on the ballot in any state so far but there are several states that require less than a 1000 sigs or just a filling fee to be put on the ballot.
Just as an aside, I am a Green who does not support him.

5. Do you know which states require less than 1000 and which a filing fee? |

I'd like to know because I believe the polling results putting Nader at 6 and 7 points are bogus.
I'm delighted to hear you're not voting for him! :bounce: I wrote in Nader in 1996, but never again. My goal is to get a majority of progressive Dems in the House and Senate, then amend the Constitution to abolish the electoral college, and permit third parties an equal footing in General Elections. I know, dream on.

12. Even with Nader, Gore carried Harris County |

Even with Nader, Gore carried Harris County in 2000. Nader will not make a difference once way or another in Texas. I am glad that he is not going to be on the Texas ballot.

13. I don't think Nader will be on ballot in many states |
|
he probably should have sought the Green party nomination because it may be getting too late for him to get on many states.

14. Today is the deadline for Texas |
|
Not that his presence on will have an effect on the outcome in Texas. But it would be symbolic, and if he fails to get on the ballot in a lot of states it may affect how much coverage the media gives him.
