The Ultimate Divide
Reading through threads here tonight it is becoming apparent that if you are white, you must accept and even bear proudly the mantel of being racist or at least a closet racist. Of course, being asked to be forgiven the transgression in a self-therapy session is included, implied or expressed.

Are there really that many racists here that they apply their own thoughts to others?

Do that many DUers not get out much and have lives and interact with people?

I am white and I am not a fucking racist. Never have been and never will be. I'll be damned if I'll be told I need to bear that bullshit, because after all, I am white.

To date, I have not committed to either candidate but after this what I call the "Ultimate Divide" I will never support Obama. He is a wretched, insidious divider of the worst kind.

Hillary all the way.

9. I recognize that I have to fight racism every day
I was raised by a racist parent and I fight every day to try and make sure that my viewpoint isn't tainted by the filth that he imparted to me as a child.

That said, I refuse to support a candidate just because he or she is of a certain race. I support a candidate because of their actions with respect to important issues such as health care, same sex rights and so on.

I'm also a realist who has been watching the american political system feed on itself for many years... there are no messiahs. there are no transcendent superstars. there are only greedy egomanical politicians who seem to want that awful job of cleaning up after dumya's mess.

It takes a special kind of ego to want to push that hard for that job.

So when you consider that they are all basically the same on that score, it comes down to the issues and to trust.... McClurkin caused me to lose trust in :obama. Frankly, I don't know what he can do to get that back.

The other stuff - Rezko, Wright, Jones, the lapel pin and the hand over the chest and Michelle's comments etc... that's all just fodder for the GE... fodder that should be talked about now before it's too late.

If someone wants to call me a racist.. it says much more about them than it does about me..

13. They are both great candidates, and you are like a child.
"I will never support Obama. He is a wretched, insidious divider of the worst kind."

That is what a freeper would say.

16. Don't just hit and run, explain your comment
Also explain your ethnicity and what that means in terms of your position. Are YOU are racist, if not, why not?

15. Uh, ok, goodbye
I hope you are putting me on ignore. How can you say Hillary, a white woman, is a great candidate, when she is a "typical" white person/racist according to Obama?

19. That does nothing for me
I have been uncommitted until now. If there is dirt on Hillary, I'm sure it will come out.

What I don't like, respect, or vote for is a divider who a fucking hypocrite claiming to bring about "change." Change in his own pocket at the expense of all of the rest of us.
