PRINCETON/GALLUP POLL - Very BAD poll NEWS for Hillary (Speech working- Obama Rebounds)
PRINCETON, NJ -- Barack Obama has quickly made up the deficit he faced with Hillary Clinton earlier this week, with the latest Gallup Poll Daily tracking update on Democratic presidential nomination preferences showing 48% of Democratic voters favoring Obama and 45% Clinton.

Obama's campaign clearly suffered in recent days from negative press, mostly centering around his association with the controversial Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Perhaps as a result, Clinton moved into the lead in Gallup's Wednesday release, covering March 16-18 polling. But Obama has now edged back ahead of Clinton due to a strong showing for him in Friday night's polling, perhaps in response to the endorsement he received from well-respected New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, a former rival for the nomination.

4. She has no money either......
Her donors are gonna be maxxed out for both the primary and GE cycle....cause it is the same people giving to her again, and again, and again. That can only take you so far.

I ain't ever gonna give her one thin dime....that I'm sure of.

9. She Has No Chance....
I really am starting to think the DLC along with her want to destroy Obama's chances in the GE by stretching this out. Over the years, the DLC has been doing the bidding of Bush.

Which in essence is what she is doing. The bullets are all virtual, but that's what she is doing; murdering our best hopes.

73. As far as I'm concerned, she can stretch it out as long as she wants
That's not the problem I have with her. The problem I have is the way she's trying to destroy Obama whether it costs the party the Presidency or not. The snippet in which she said she and McCain were qualified but she didn't know about Obama was the end for me. I read it the way I think she meant it - that the choices, in order of preference, were her, McCain, Obama.

94. I suspect the money is about to dry up for Hillary
and fast.

That will be the end. Even well pocketed supporters are likely to stop the flow of cash once it becomes clear she can't win the nom.

She's out before Memorial Day, I predict.

26. There's no way Hillary can win. This needs to stop.
The only way she gets the nomination is if Obama is forced to drop out due to some scandal or gaffe.

And that's her only strategy.

She doesn't care that if Obama doesn't flame out and is the nominee, that McCain is going to copy her talking points. We will be seeing video Hillary trashing Obama in GOP ads! Why not? It would be totally fair play!

She's already done huge damage to the party and our chances in November, and to make things worse, she doesn't even have a chance to be the nominee! There's no point, she has to stop this!

36. Well she sure as sh*t is acting like she is!
If she doesn't get the nomination, she doesn't care what happens in November!

Can you imagine if Hillary dropped out after TX and OH and endorsed Obama? McCain would be on his ass already!

Instead, she's doing McCain's work for him! FOR NO REASON!

70. I suppose anything is possible
She really is doing a wierd dance for someone who would consider the VP.

I really don't see her as the type who would do a third party thing. She is too tied to the establishment. Her chances of running again as a Democrat would be dashed if she did this, too.

Is she angling for 2012....hoping McCain would win in 08? Well, that as a strategy is frought with uncertainties. For one thing, McCain as the incumbent would have lots of advantages for re-election. Even Bush got "re-elected"! So it would likely be 2016, with her 8 years older.

Quite frankly, I am not so sure she has any particular strategy at all except trying to win the nomination at all costs. She must know it is a long shot by now. But I am thinking she feels entitled to it,and if she can't get the presidency she simply doesn't care about anything else in the future. Going negative is the only thing left, and even if that is not likely to work, I don't think she has it in her to give up until she is mathematically eliminated. So...there may be no alterior motive or long term strategy here....to use her borrowed words.....maybe "it is personal..."

Now, were Hillary to lose PA, she would have little choice but to back off. However, she is probably going to win PA. This will give her at least the illusion that she has a reason to fight to the finish. We will hear more about the big states she has won, yadayada....

I think the best strategy Obama can do at this point is to concentrate on attacking McCain where ever possible and where possible ignore Hillary.

95. Age..???? we are worried about age....
Hell, McCain is 72 now...even IF he won, do we think he would still be viable in another 4 years, in order to take him to 2016? he is doddering around now..by 2012, he'll be 76 and by 2016 he'd be 80 for crying out loud(if he's still around that is)...otoh, Hillary would only be 68 in 2016...

Haven't we caught on to McCain yet, and why they are making him their nominee??? Because there is such a mess in gov't right now...that they want the Democrats to win...they want US to try to fix what all has been done by * in the last 8 years, because they know it can't be done...and so they can benefit from the disaster that's coming our way, that NO Democrat is going to be able to keep from happening....the disaster THEY are responsible for...they want us to win, in order to take the fall, and the blame...AND...McCain has been and is a thorn in their side...they intend to get rid of him once and for all...either by killing him off campaigning(which is extremely hard on even a healthy young man, let alone one 72 yrs old who isn't in the best of health)...or by having him lose the election big time, which will also do him in....they aren't doing him any favors, and he's too stupid to get what they are up too...sheesh!! disclaimer: my opinion only, but the only thing that makes sense with him as their nominee...wb

98. I think the Obama camp
Needs to hit hard in Pa with the NAFTA lies Hillary has told. How she duped Ohio on NAFTA. They are going to debate and Obama has to make clear her lies. And Hillary said she would show her taxes by 4/15 so maybe he still can win. If someone started a count down till 4/15 for her to show her taxes maybe the MSM will follow along. Rather than have it go by and it's not talked about enough. Make her taxes and NAFTA the new Rev Wright story only this time with facts and her own words which most of the time are not facts. I didn't read the whole article at first because I thought it was more MSM crap. It is a great view into what its like growing up as a young man with a funny name. I was lucky that my first name was John (after my half-English, half-Ugandan grandfather) but my last name (Kwamya) was another one of those funky foreign names. I dealt with it without too much trouble, but it always highlights your difference from the "norm".

It looks like the CNN poll is keeping pretty much in line with the majority at this time though.

In an article called:

CNN Polling Linked To Clinton Donor Vinod Gupta

http://zennie2005.blogspot.com/2007/07/cnn-polling-linked-to-clinton-donor.html

Wednesday, July 04, 2007

(snip)

Mr. Gupta is not just a donor to the Clinton's but a huge contributor. According to the Washington Post , he's given huge donations to the Democratic Party and allowed the Clintons to jet around to Switzerland, Hawaii, Jamaica, Mexico on his corporate plane -- $900,000 worth of travel. And President Clinton has secured a 3.3 million consulting deal with Gupta's technology firm, InfoUSA

According to the New York Sun , In 2000, Mr. Gupta gave $100,000 to support Mrs. Clinton's Senate bid and hosted a fund-raiser in his home that raised $100,000 more. "She was so good," he said of Mrs. Clinton's talk there, according to the Omaha World-Herald. "I think she is smarter than the president."

The matter of CNN polls being produced by a Clinton donor is an issues of extreme concern, especially in the wake of Senator Barack Obama's massive $32 million second quarter fundraising total, a record in campaign history and a take that includes no money from lobbyists or political action committees, and who've average donation was just $127.

The problem is that while Senator Obama's outraised Senator Clinton, (this was back in July '07) the polls conducted by CNN and USA Today / Gallup, have not reflected this, except for a USA Today / Gallup Poll that reported Obama and Clinton as tied , but which they re-did to favor Clinton (I'm not kidding, read the link) and re-ran just seven days later -- a weird development which I assert results in polling that's fixed to favor Senator Clinton. This news backs my assertion.

According to the LibertyPost.com , "Opinion Research began conducting polls for CNN in April 2006, according to TheDeal.com. A month after InfoUSA closed on its purchase of the polling company in December, CNN and Opinion Research announced a 2-year partnership, with Opinion Research conducting political polling for CNN through next year’s election. In an e-mail statement, Opinion Research President Jeff Resnick defended the company’s work for CNN: "Each week, great care is taken to ensure the poll results are accurate and free from any bias. An examination of the poll results will support this statement.”

But Bruce Weinstein, who writes an ethics column for BusinessWeek.com, said just the perception of a potential conflict of interest could hurt a media organization’s credibility."

..........

Like I said it is something to keep an eye on.

61. Says the Hillary supporter who pimps every single poll that shows even vaguely good new for Hillary
But if it's good news for Obama, well it's because polls are somehow untrustworthy:eyes:

As time goes on, Hillary supporters get more and more desperate, spinning and spinning, and contradicting event their own previous statements and actions. Sad, sad and pathetic.

Edited on Sun Mar-23-08 02:31 PM by Rubiconski2009
Obama's vision for this country is breathtaking.

We may not see another presidential candidate of such greatness for centuries to come.

Barack Obama....a true President !!!

I would run into a machine gun nest for that President.

He gives me hope that I can be proud of this nation again.

I am so proud of Barack Obama, all he stands for and the people who support him !

90. Liberals Are No Better Than Right Wingers
Just a year ago all you Democrats loved Hillary and then along came this swarmy car salesman with a good line of bullshit and everyone became inspired. Now you treat Hillary Clinton like she is the devil incarnate because she dares to campaign against your hero. I remember when I started to get sick of right wingers, it was when they started to attack Bill Clinton because they just didn't like him, and now Hillary gets the same treatment from her own party simply because she runs against the "Great Obama". Obama may get the nomination, but remember this Hillary has won almost every big state, and if Democratic primaries were winner take all she would be ahead, and quite frankly its the most liberal voters that vote in these primaries and he still couldn't win the big states. Middle America will never vote for Obama and I take great comfort in that because his actions never match his words, and the fact that he had a 20 year relationship with a anti-white, anti American preacher is more than enough reason for me not to vote for him. And by the way! The hell with paragraphs.

92. She is the height or arrogance or stupidity
I voted for her twice. No more. She went way beyond NY "attitude" with that statement that Obama would make a good VP. You are telling a person who is BEATING you, they are only second best? Who is she trying to convince, the public or HERSELF?

I have no respect for her anymore, woman or not.
