The die hard Democrats who prefer Obama to Clinton will get past the nastiness of the primary and support her in the general. The ones who have their eye on the ball - what another Republican administration would do to our Supreme Court - will come out and vote against John McCain. Some will hold their noses, but they will come around.
The ones who adore Obama, the ones devoted to him who don't think about political party affiliation will never forgive Clinton for what they see as a dirty campaign. They won't get past the idea that the will of the people being thwarted. They will most likely stay home or cast a protest vote for another progressive candidate.
This is more a general response to if Clinton wins because of SuperDelegates or if the Florida delegation pushes her over the top. There won't be a revote in Florida.

6. I will vote straight Democratic, of course. |
|
It will be a vote against the republican, but it will count the same as if I voted "for" Hillary.
I damn sure won't be wasting a chance to vote against "Bomb Bomb Iran" McInsane.

11. There's no way in hell that I'll vote for anyone other than the Dem nominee |
|
I can't put it any more plainly than that. I hope that everyone on this board feels the same way and will put aside their disappointment over their candidate failing to win the nomination. There's simply too much at stake to consider any other alternative - any one of which would lead to McSame winning the GE. That's absolutely out of the question.

12. I've been voting for Democrats OVER 35 YEARS |
|
Edited on Sun Mar-23-08 09:41 AM by crankychatter
My family has been voting for Democrats for 150 years.
My tambourine is for Cynthia McKinney... and if any Party Loyalists deign to lecture ME, I'll send them home with their asses up around their shoulder blades.
IT IS TIME TO BUST THE EVIL SYMBIOSIS BETWEEN OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS AND WAR PROFITEERS, REPRESENTED PERFECTLY IN THE PERSON OF HILLARY CLINTON
WHATEVER SHE SAYS, SHE IS DEFINED BY WHAT SHE HAS DONE
If you can't hear that then you probably just don't like Black people.

Obama to win, but he has more of a chance than she does.
I always vote straight Dem ticket, not that it matters much.

In fact, if it goes that way that the democratic candidate won with this behavior and the DLC tightens its grip, there is a remote possibilty I will change to unaffiliated after the election. I will still be a progressive voting for democrats even if I go that route. But I'm angry right now so I don't know.

I will put aside my anger and disappointment and vote for Hillary Clinton if she is the nominee...not because I owe it to her, but because I owe it to the American people.
