Each candidate's path to the presidency
Obama - keep all of Kerry's states and win Colorado, New Mexico, and Iowa. Both Iowa and Colorado are states he won in the primaries and states that he should be the favorite to win against McCain. New Mexico will be much harder, but with Richardson as a VP, it is possible. I do not think he has any chance of winning Ohio. I think he has a decent chance in Florida and that is where we will put most of our money in. If he chooses Richardson as his VP, he could camp him out in Florida like Gore did with Lieberman in 2000 (with the Jewish vote) and help with the Latinos in Florida. Questions about Obama are whether he can keep New Hampshire and Pennsylvania blue.

Hillary - She will likely put Arkansas in play. She has a better chance in Florida and Ohio, although Florida should favor the Republicans. She has the best chance of the two to keep NH blue. On the downside, she may put Washington into play. She may even lose Wisconsin. Minnesota is not a state that she plays well in. You could say the same thing about Colorado.

Each candidate both has unique paths to the presidency. With Hillary as the nominee, we will likely go the Florida-Ohio route. With Obama, we will go through other routes.
