Question for Hillary: Does Rush have a large audience in PA to help her win? |
|
Considering TX was such a success for Rush and his listeners.

2. Time Magazine: Of the 500,000 Republicans Crossing Over in Texas, Majority Voted Obama |
|
http://www.time.com/time/politics/article/0,8599,1723756,00.htmlAfter looking over the election day numbers in detail, Masset concluded that half a million Republicans had voted in the Democratic primary, but that many had done it not to support Clinton, as urged to by Limbaugh, but for Obama. In Collin County, for example, 57% voted for Obama, but declined to cast a vote in down ballot races. Only 41,894 — a dropoff of 43% — voted in a competitive Democratic U.S. Senate primary race.
"Those 500,000 Republicans who voted in the Democratic party couldn't even bring themselves to vote for a Democratic candidate for U.S. Senator," Masset said. He believes some crossed over at the urging of talk radio, but more crossed over to vote for Obama, caught up in the excitement of a horse race; still, only detailed follow-up polling might provide more insight into the Republican crossover votes. <more> Plus, as the other poster mentioned, this is a closed primary.

11. That's misleading Benethename. |
|
Don't be taken by that fact. Obama may have won the Republican vote, but without the Limbaugh effect, his share of the Republican vote would have been larger and he may even have won texas. In other words, instead of winning repubs by a margin of 52-48, he would have won 60-40 or 70-30 which is more in line with the margins he was getting before Texas.
repubs voted for Hillary because they wanted to cause mischeif in the democratic nomination process. Generally repubs voting for Obama genuinely like him as a candidate.

3. I think it will be different in PA because there is a 30-day registration deadline |
|
It's a closed primary and voters need to be registered at least 30 days prior to the election date.
People won't be able to decide on short notice to just go down to their polling place and request a Dem ballot like they could in TX.

4. I don't think he'll try that again - he's being investigated for voter fraud in Ohio. |
