This whole ignore list/boycott/separate board bullshit is myspace style bullshit
Edited on Mon Mar-24-08 08:58 PM by Wolsh
Obama supporters: Ignore lists are stupid. How can you learn about anything if you don't hear what people are saying?

Hillary supporters: If you want to know why your on the ass end of this sentiment, and why people have grown tired of you, its because of your antics and your inability to put party of one candidates ego.The nomination is lost for her, and she needs to get out of the way so DEMOCRATS can start focusing on McCain and the real issues at hand. All this middle school deflection that you're employing is pathetic. I hope that cooler heads prevail and you are able to act like adults instead of cliquey dopes

Everyone needs to grow up and start focusing on November.

1. You have a valid point about the ignore list
I am clearing mine now. I still reserve the right to hide threads that have no purpose.

2. If your message to Hillary supporters were true, I'd be Brobot public enemy number one.
But I'm only down there on the 100-person-long mass ignore list.

The top ten list was where I should have been, and I'm quite pissed that I've not been rewarded for my efforts.

7. Thing is, Hillary supporters didn't construct the list.
And if you want to point your finger at "attention seekers," look no farther than the person who started the list and the "let it sink" movement.

I'm making something humorous out of something that even Nazi gauliters would envy. The best way to handle paranoid destruction that this list and let it sink crap foment is humor.

Hillary should drop out so King Barack can be coronated? Sorry, ain't gonna happen! In a few weeks, the people of Pennsylvania will say loud and clear what they think of Obama. The double-digit slaughter that awaits in the Keystone State will clearly demonstrate that despite what we see on this site, NORMAL Democrats are not drinking the Kool-Aid. No one at DU will be able to put those voters on IGNORE!

You need to come back from the deep end of the pool
Nobodies being "coronated" we've had 40 some odd contests. Obama has won the majority of states, delegates, and votes. Winning PA doesn't change this in the slightest. Hillary needs to drop out not to 'coronate" Obama, but to allow the party time to heal and rally before the GE.

9. The reason I have an ignore list
is precisely because I wasn't learning anything from the people that are on it. As I've said before, I have a few Obama supporters on ignore also.

10. even if I don't agree with people on their candidate
like Maddy and several other Clinton backers, I would never put them on ignore, they make thoughtful reasons behind their posts - there are just about 10-15 people on mine, and the reason they're there is because they directly attack Obama supporters on this board with really nasty names, or curse for the sake of cursing. Otherwise, I love hearing dissent. I hope there aren't people on here with ignore lists in the 100's, that'd be sad.

Nice post!

11. I have only one poster on ignore, a particularly nasty HRC booster who was edging into stalking
territory. She was also an inveterate liar.

I really think this whole kerfluffle has been manufactured by HRC boosters out of hysterical frustration at the sight of the Queen's coronation going off the rails.

but it's for serious lack of contribution. This place moves too fast to have to wade through their spam or insignificant replies that have the only aim of pissing people off.

14. Demanding Hillary quit campaigning
reeks of egotistic and narcissistic tendencies.
To think that by stamping your feet and demanding
everyone fall in line, and even thinking that it is
actually going to work, is telling.

What is the problem with following the rules set
up by the party just for close races like this?
Every Obama supporter was all for the rules when
they canceled out Florida and Michigan. Do you
only support following the party rules when they
favor your candidate.

If anyone thinks for one minute that a little bickering
between the candidates' supporters is going to make everyone
who does not get their way, pout and vote McCain, they
are just stupid. A heated primary race will not blot
out the memories of the last 7 years and that heated
primary race will not make them forget the Repuke economy
death we are suffering, a heated primary will not make
them forget a war that never should have been. I could
go on and on.

16. Because its not close. When you're mathmatically eliminated from being able to beat Obama is just
about every catagory, the race ceases to be "close" and Hillary starts being an egotistical party spoiler.

20. When Obama cannot get the needed numbers
to be the definitive nominee either,
it should be allowed to follow the party
rules and go to convention. For anyone
to suggest otherwise is ego or ulterior
motives hoping to get a cabinet position.
It might do the party good to shake the
tree a little. We will know all there is
to know, and all the laundry will be aired
before the GE. What will be left for the
repukes to use?

22. So you suggest we smear ourselves silly until all candidates are too damaged to beat the republican.
who, according to your theory, gets a free pass until after the convention. Yeah, great strategy Penn.

15. I use the ignore list.
There are so many posters - some of them freepers, some of them just idiots, that are posting things that are not productive discussion, that just provokes extensive flame-fests, that gets in the way of normal discussion, that quite frankly, my only regret is that I didn't start using the ignore list earlier.

After primary season is over and when Skinner declares a presumptive nominee, I'll clear out my ignore list and give everyone another chance.

21. Wolsh.. look at the bullshit on this board. Look at the racist, hate-filled blather and outright
lies and distortions and rumors posted by Clinton "supporters". There are about one or two intelligent-posting Hillary supporters left on this sham of a "discussion board." This place exists for Hillary to send her minions from Hillaryis44 or HillaryHub to post Rovian crap and flamebait Obama supporters.

I had no clue about a stupid list until it was posted here and there was no "conspiracy" as far as I know. But these people DO deserve to be run out of here on a freakin rail. If they were having discussions, it'd be different, but they're not.

Now, you see, they've done what Camp Clinton does.. they've misdirected.. made everybody feel GUILTY ??? (are you kidding me) about some imaginary ignore list.. and now all the Obama people are right back down in the flamebait dirt, responding to shit like:

SUBPRIME MORTGATEGATE
VACATIONGATE - OBAMA IS A COWARD
OBAMA TIED TO ANOTHER RACIST HOMOPHOBE
OBAMA NEGATIVE CAMPAIGNGATE

And so, a forum we were on the verge of making better is now right back in the sewer gutter.

Fuck them.
