49% of voters "less likely" to vote for Obama for president after watching/listening his speech
Edited on Mon Mar-24-08 11:35 PM by culacano
This is a shocker. A new Insider Advantage poll taken in the aftermath of the Obama speech finds that 49% of all voters became less likely to vote for Barack Obama once they learned about his speech. This is broken down as follows:

52% republicans
47% democrats
49% independents

say that they are now less likely to vote for Obama.

Looks like polls on the matters are contradictory.

3. So, he's up from the t69% who were less likely before the speech
Sounds pretty damn effective to me. And give it time for folks to listen to the whole sermon -- the numbers will keep dropping.

good try, though.

and

If 27% are more likely to voter for him after "The Speech" (insert Amen Chorus)

24. Well aren't you a fucking idiot.
Did they pay you to come fill in while they went off and pouted?

69% said less likely before the speech. 49% after. A 20% improvement.

You ASSUME that this was a question that asked if people if they were more likely to feel one way or another AS A RESULT OF THE SPEECH. Prove that bullshit.

7. that doesn't mean they will not vote for him... if i was 100% and now am 99% then i will probably..
vote for Obama.

Same thing for the republicans, if they were 100% against Obama then they really can not be less likely to vote for Obama.

9. Interesting. Two threads on your first day, two organizations I've never heard of before.
If your little poll is as reliable as the Zionist Organization of America, I'd say that Obama has the presidency in the bag.

But thanks for your concern. Really. And, enjoy your visit to DU.

Ah, a PR/blog service masquerading as "media". Sweet. They even have a flash video (rambling, stammering) on this issue.

21. Don't bother posting all those polls.
Obamites are in denial. They can't accept anything that doesn't have Obama winning by a huge margin. They live in a world of their own. Besides you are probably on ignore.

23. They polled 1051 people and only 807 of them were counted for that question
Edited on Tue Mar-25-08 12:03 AM by BattyDem

So 49% of 807 people said "less likely" - that's not even 400 people

http://www.southernpoliticalreport.com/storylink_320_294.aspx

The poll was conducted March 19 among 1,051 Americans. After filtering out those not aware of Rev. Wright and Obama’s speech about him, the sample is 807, for a margin of error of plus or minus 3.2%. The data have been weighted for age, race, gender and partisan affiliation.

Page 3 of the PDF file clearly shows that they only counted the people who were aware of the Wright situation
