8. Only republican freepers are carnivores...
With the exception of those of us who cannot live without the occasional

carne asada taco or a little of that BBQ from just about anywhere in Austin.....

10. Naw, it's one 5 lb. roast beef, a gallon of low fat milk, a 5 lb. bag of potato's, gingerale,
2 loaves of Oatmeal Whole Grain bread, 1/4 Lb. of provolone cheese and a dozen eggs.

Don't forget to pick up Hazelnut coffee, low cholesterol coffee creamer and banana's.

And some DVD's to watch while we eat! ;)

23. 5 lbs of roast beef is 10 meals for two people!
Edited on Tue Mar-25-08 02:33 AM by Breeze54
Have a pound of RB ground into burger.
Have another lb. cut into stew meat.
Roast the rest, have a hot meal.
Slice the rest for burritos and sandwiches. ;)

Potato's are $1.59 for a 5 lb. bag; $2.49 for 10 lbs.

Non-Dairy Creamer is .99 cents a quart.

Oatmeal bread is 2 for $4.00. Freeze one, eat the other.

Only buy small Amts. of provolone cheese.

Eggs are $1.79 a doz. but a necessity.

Banana's are .69 cents for 3.

A Gal. of low fat milk is $2.89.

Don't shop at expensive stores, don't buy stuff with lots of packaging, only buy
what's on sale and have a budget, coupons and a list and don't shop when hungry! ;)

27. Yeah, I've been there but they don't have coupons I can use.
As I said, I only buy what's on sale and I don't shop at Natural Foods or any BS store like that.
There were a lot of sales this last week. I got a 14 lb. turkey for $7.00 too. ;) All together we
spent $57.00 this week and it should last at least two weeks but I know how to cook and stretch
a recipe too. You learn after raising 3 kids on a shoestring. ;)

29. yeah, I was just being (or trying to) be funny saying that...I
am pretty thrifty, too, when it comes to shopping. We are lucky because where I live there are many, many stores and they compete and they have a lot of buy one get one. My daughter and I buy the buy ones and then we plan our meals for two weeks and split costs. So, if we get chicken breasts, for example, we might get four to six meals out of the two packages of B1G1.

Tonight, hubby got B1G1 Mayonaise and we also printed a coupon for 1.50 off Hershey's Easter Candy from the Smartsource site last week and then today it was all on sale after Easter so he got three bags for 3.00 and then saved 1.50 from the coupon so it only cost us 50 cents a bag in the end. (Not that I need chocolate, mind you!)

But, I did print the coupon this week from the site for the turkey franks!!!!!
