It's Now or Never for Hillary |
|
Edited on Tue Mar-25-08 05:29 AM by aaroh
If Obama was to secure the nomination and went on to win the general election it will be a tough task for hillary to win the nomination in 2012. Obama will already be a national household name by then, the more time people spend getting to know Obama the higher probability he can secure their vote. Furthermore Obama will build greater relationships with Washington insiders (superdelegates). So 2012 will be even harder than 2008 for Hillary to secure the party's nomination.
Hillary's next chance to secure a presidential bid will be 2016 and by then Hillary will be 68. A whole new generation of voters (8 years worth) will come into the frame and unfortunately the young vote isn't Hillary's strongest support base. Her strongest demographic supporters are the current generation of old folks. By 2016 this strong support base of hers will be eroded due to natural causes - death. Now is the best time for Hillary to run for president or it's never going to happen again.
IMHO I think Hillary has played this movie in her head already so the alternative is to bash Obama so badly that even if Obama wins the nomination he'll lose the general election to McCain and 2012 will be an easier passage for Hillary to become president.

1. And , since she isn't going to win the nomination in 2008, |

she is werkin hard (Bushism) to make sure that she can run 2012.
She can't run against a popular incumbent (or even a mildly unpopular one), so Obama must LOSE the GE this year against McCain. Then Hillary runs in 2012 against a VERY OLD McCain.
So... how to make sure Obama loses this November...
a) stay in the race, no matter what.
b) Use every smear tactic known against Obama.
c) Do NOT tear down the Repuke nominee McCain.
d) Use every chance to compare McCain favorably against Obama.
e) Make Obama use as much money and effort as possible to defeat you and secure the nomination.
f) Question Obama's fitness to be C-in-C and his patriotism.
g) Get the MSM (as much as possible) to go along (they like the myth of the tight race already, as that builds their ratings).
h) Split the party... the longer the appearance of a race goes on, the less likely it will be that Hillary voters will come around to supporting Obama.
I'm convinced that this is the current strategy. It makes me very sad.

It is to long for us all. GOP and Dems. Give the world a brake. Send both these families home.

is one of the most relevant points about Hillary's candidacy; my biggest issue for not supporting her in the beginning (more have appeared since) is that she is a Clinton and her husband was President for 8 years and she would follow an addendum "presidency" by George W. Bush for his father. It's Bush,Clinton, Bush, Clinton. I don't want to go down this road.
A system of government that is so entrenched in the Rethugs and the Dems is starting to be exclusive in the Executive branch only to a small circle of insiders: the Bushes and the Clintons.
on edit: If and when Jeb Bush decides it's his time for POTUS, he will be the crowned for the GOP, just as his idiot brother was. This speculation all but signals an "elected" monarchy instead of a representative republic.

6. It is just so bad for us to keep re-running these people and |
|
the whole gang they run with. I want them all gone. Some times I think we have a govt. run by pardon crooks. I am sure I have just had my fill of them all. They just turn me off. I am starting to see what Lenin felt when some one told him the Czar was dead he he said 'well it is not important as we will have another one'. He must have been some what hopeless in thinking they would ever be done with such a group even if he was a pretty poor leader himself. One of the few things that stuck in my head when I read his life story. You can almost under stand the whole history of EU. during WW1 and how happy they were to be rid of those old 'ruling families'. Bush/Clinton gang seem to forget just who is to run this country and it is a bottom up govt. and not about them. I do not think we are ever going to drag these two families off the stage. I guess when you think you were born to rule it is hard to get you out of the power play.
