Have these easy questions been asked about Hillary's sniper fire incident and if not why?
First off, sorry if this has question has already been brought up or if this as already been announced.

Okay we have all heard the story about her running with her head down during sniper fire in Bosnia. She paints a very vivid picture while telling this story. So, clearly she must have been shot at at some time. There is no way she could misspeak or misremember about being shot at.

1. So, where was she at when she was being shot at? If she could give a time and a place close to her Bosnia visit the press would probably give her a pass and drop it. So have they asked her and why not? And if not she should just tell us so we can move on from this.

2. If there was no sniper fire what does that say about her memory or leadership ability?

Clearly know one would misremember about being shot at. So where did it happen?

1. Interesting questions, but there is at least one more...
What does Clinton's narrative say about the competence of the Secret Service and US Military security, if they would knowingly place in harm's way the First Lady and the First Daughter - not to mention the First Comedian and the First Singer/Guitarist?

5. That's why it couldn't have happened the way she described--
not without military commanders getting busted, and a huge stink in the news about the massive security failure. Imagine Laura Bush running from gunfire--hard to do, isn't it? Heads would roll in the ranks, if they didn't secure the area and keep this situation from happening--they take their VIP duties very seriously (speaking as a military wife).

10. I'm laughing too hard at the thought of Laura Bush scurrying from sniper fire.
Like Laura Bush would ever visit a war zone, period.

Sounds like Hillary exaggerated what happened on her trip to Bosnia - lied - but at least she's not Laura. Your post reminded me of the difference. Thanks!

11. Yep, Hillary, for all her faults, is braver than Pickles, for what it's worth.
She probably WISHES her account was really what happened.

17. That's what I'm sayin'...
She should have KNOWN she couldn't get away with that. In the way-off chance that it's some kind of false memory, this fact alone should have told her that it just didn't happen. This alone, I think, makes HRC bad news.

And, what does Clinton's narrative have to say about the press corps covering her trip?
Would Senator Clinton have us believe that the MSM has engaged in a 12-year coverup of what would have been a MAJOR news story around the world... that the First Lady of the United States had drawn sniper fire and the entire traveling party was forced to don flak jackets and flee indoors upon landing at Tuzla?

When she first started spinning this yarn, I kept thinking to myself, "Well, that's odd. I'd never heard that version of events before and I would have remembered that piece of news."

9. The media could have ignored it. The media constantly harrassed the Clintons.
I'm willing to believe that it happened and the media chose not to report it, but Hillary needs to give us some evidence that it actually happened somewhere at some time.

If she doesn't, then it really does look like she made up a big whopper. It's not cool to claim that one has been under sniper fire if it never happened.

Suppose that I claimed that I was once in the middle of a terrible car accident and just barely avoided a front-end collision. Now, if I said it happened in March 2005 and it actually happened in February 2005 or even February 2004, I could be forgiven for getting confused. But suppose it never happened at all? Then it would be a lie.

16. If you look at the CBS video...
There's one segment where there's a whole bunch of photographers snapping pics of her from the back of an army truck, at least 10. Of course it would have been featured in the media. If not in the US media (which I believe it would) then it would have been in the British/European media.

19. No way they could have or would have ignored it.
Journalism is competitive, and any reporter would have jumped to get a story like that out ahead of the others. Even under sniper fire.

18. "Piece of news" indeed.
Sharyl Atkisson, a reporter who accompanied Hillary and Chelsea Clinton on the Bosnia trip, writes,

"… the mood upon first landing at the Tuzla airport was light. Children were there on the tarmac to greet the first lady, Chelsea was by her side, Bosnian dignitaries had gathered: It felt safe."

http://newsprism.wordpress.com/category/sharyl-atkisson/

The question I posed seems to open up even more questions. This is a piece of bad news for a real "piece of work."

2. I think she conflated events, too.
Gore was accused of this in the 2000 campaign, and Cheney (Cheney!) got away with calling Gore a liar and saying it was "very troubling".

If I had 11,000 pages of scheduled events over 8 years, I suspect that I would mix up a few things too.

3. She needs to tell us where she was when shot at. If she can't or didn't this is a major problem.

6. If she conflated events, then she needs to state when she was really shot at.
Otherwise, this really does look like a lie.

I don't care if Hillary got confused about exactly when and where she was under sniper fire, as long as it really happened. I do care if she claimed to be under sniper fire and never was.

There's a big difference. The Hillary campaign needs to respond to this.

Or it is over for her.

12. The media has already said the First Lady was NEVER near ANY sniper fire.
It would have been a LEAD STORY.

Case closed. 100 reporters and more covered her trips. There was NEVER any sniper fire anywhere.

Bosnia had been in a truce for a YEAR when she got there. It was NORMAL.

13. And if it was so dangerous....
Why did she bring Chelsea?

And if she misspoke what are the chances she would have previously misspoke on 2/29 in TX?

14. Hillary lied, but I want to play ,
Hillary was explaining what was expected in the worst case scenario.

During the corkscrew landing all possible dangers were explained.

Not everyone can fit in the cockpit, so she is the only one who knows the truth.

She accepted the risk, and the risked her only child.

15. It's obviously a lie. There is ZERO chance the Secret Service would have allowed the First Lady and
the President's child into a truly dangerous situation where they could receive "sniper fire".
