Don't Boo the Home Team

"Like every baseball club warming up the cactus and citrus leagues, my Democratic Party is scouting the talent, rebuilding the team, and looking ahead to the fall classic. While our passions may cause us to overstep and heckle each other, the fact is that we have a larger fight ahead. For Giants fans, it's Dodgers. For Democrats, it's John McCain. No matter our intramural passions for Senators Clinton and Obama, the larger issue is this: we want to bring our troops home from Iraq, promote universal health care, and strengthen economic security for Main Street, not just Wall Street. To do that, let's cheer, not boo, our home team to victory."

1. Great point. Have you asked your candidate to stop?

2. for progressives, the larger fight is against the status quo
We understand that we will either be in Iraq for 50 years, or that we will cut and run in defeat. We understand that.

We just want to stay out of Iran. I don't know if the three choices will do that.

I will stand in protest if President Obama claims the surge is working. Or that force is the best way to deal with Iran.

For progressives, there is a bigger fight still out there.

3. This sucks out loud...
The "Yay Team" mentality is the worst thing that has happened to Democrats since I don't know when. Playing into that mentality cannot help.

4. As a Mets fan...
a real one, as opposed to a temporary fan like our senator...
we know that the fans sometimes need to rise up and let
out a big old Bronx cheer to kick the team in the ass and
get them playing right again.
BOO. THROW OUT THE BUMS.. err BUM.
