Why is Hillary giving big interview to Richard Mellon Scaife's Newspaper??????
Edited on Tue Mar-25-08 02:10 PM by RamboLiberal
Yep that big interview today she gave where she said Wright wouldn't have been her pastor and her excuse on the sniper story that she wss sleep-deprived - that paper is Richard Mellon-Scaife's rag the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. We have two papers in Pittsburgh. The liberal one is the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

So why the big gift to Scaife???????? Why give any shit to the funder of the Arkansas Project?????

In a rare interview in 1999 with John F. Kennedy, Jr in George Magazine, Scaife spoke openly about his belief that there is truth behind the accusations that the Clintons were involved in the deaths of 60 friends and employees. His newspaper, Pittsbrugh Tribune-Review, also printed allegations suggesting that certain officials in the Clinton administration were murdered.

Scaife is the Vice Chairman, Publisher and Owner of Tribune-Review Publishing Co. (Publishes the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review). During the 2000 election campaign Scaife ordered newspaper editors of the archconservative newspaper that he owns, Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, to pull all photographs of Democratic nominee Al Gore and guarantee that no prominent images or stories about Gore appear on the front page of the newspaper.

In the final days of the 2000 presidential campaign, Pittsburgh Tribune-Review publisher Richard Mellon Scaife, a longtime conservative activist, ordered all photographs and prominent mentions of Democratic presidential candidate Al Gore removed from the front page of the paper. As a result, the paper’s pre-election Sunday edition had a front page featuring George W. Bush in every campaign-related headline and photograph. A story about a Gore rally held in Pittsburgh, originally slated to run alongside a Bush piece on the front page, was moved to the inside of the paper. According to an account in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Tribune-Review managing editor Robert Fryer ‘tried to dissuade Scaife but was overruled.’

To me this is like McCain embracing Bush after the sleazy crap they pulled on him in SC. Seems to me Hill & Bill have been doing an awful lot of running to RW Faux and now Scaife!

BTW I remember the Gore incident well. One of Scaife's reporters was so pissed he broke it to the competition. When Gore was campaigning in Pittsburgh against Bush and the Trib put his photo on the front page, Scaife called and reamed them out and told them in no uncertain terms that only Bush pictures were to be on the front page of his newspaper.

5. Because the 90s 'conflicts' were all dog and pony show while Clintons protected BushInc
from the real matters in the 90s that were going on while the country and BOTH BASES and the majority of media were distracted with trumped up scandals and sex.

Scaife HATES Teresa Heinz-Kerry and John Kerry. Clintons were just FUN for Scaife to blow up into a bigger issue as BushInc was protected on all the outstanding matters in IranContra, BCCI and CIA drugrunning operations.

Scaife for awhile was giving the paper away just to up his circulation figures. The PG is the big paper in this region and the paper of record.

My guess is the PG will endorse Obama - maybe Scaife will endorse Hillary.

On edit here are the numbers:

Second, the lawsuit(his ex-wife) has revealed embarrassing, although not entirely unexpected, financial and circulation numbers at the Tribune-Review. While the Post-Gazette claims 212,075 weekday readers, documents in the case peg the Trib-Review at 52,453. That’s grim. But not as grim as the ledger books, which look so bad that “Ritchie” Scaife, Richard’s soon to be ex-wife, and her lawyers are arguing that the paper loses so much that under tax law, it should be classified as a hobby.

12. Hope Obama is smart enough to give to PG
and not the paper who will pretend he doesn't exist after August except if they have something negative to print.

11. hilary is a punk ass liar caught red faced
on tape and what's a world class liar to do? I know! Go to the fascist wing papers..they'll let her tell her story without asking why she felt she had to lie to pad her resume.

Isn't your resume good enough, hilary? You must have done something worthwhile in 35 fucking years besides excel in the dark arts.
