everyone should take note of this: |
|
when obama was getting negative press over the pastor bullshit, he took it head on. when hillary starts getting negative press, she laughs it off, and then throws shit at obama.
obama dealt with his problem. hillary ignores any wrong doing and tries to kneecap her opponent.

1. I keep saying it's the way she handles these flubs |

more than the flubs themselves, that stays with most people.

that Wright was a problem. Only when it became obviously hurtful to him did he "do something" about it. And what did he do? What he always does - gave a speech.

This is kind of a hard thing to defend. Ask yourself this: If Obama did the same thing how would it look to you?

9. Last week her take was 'You'd have to ask Senator Obama about that'. this week... |
|
she's under pressure because of her creative speechwriting, and suddenly it's important for her to weigh in on the Wright question. She can do it if she wants, but it looks like an evasive maneuver designed to distract attention from her own problems. It's about the most basic rhetorical trick out there.

that the Wright story would just go away, but fixating on Hillary as the cause of it isn't productive. She didn't create Wright, she didn't put those words in his mouth, she didn't make Obama attend.

17. So, you would prefer a candidate that dodges questions? |
|
I prefer one who actually deals with them.

5. Yep, and made headlines around the world. |
|
Clinton gave a speech last week that was meant to burnish her foreign policy credentials and shot herself in the foot with her opening sentences. I'll bet money that all the late night talkshow hosts are going to be leading with sniper jokes this evening.

And he did so meaninfully and seriously. He didn't try to brush it off and attack Clinton.
He dealt with it.

8. take note of this: you're just pissed because this isn't getting the traction you hoped. |

Obama's pastor problems still monopolize CNN and MSNBC. Hillary WAS in Bosnia, she did visit a country during wartime, she did have a flack jacket on and clearly, from the tape, it was a dangerous situation.
I am not concerned with Hillary's account of the situation unlike my concern about Barack's religious mentor.

"Hillary WAS in Bosnia, she did visit a country during wartime, she did have a flack jacket on and clearly, from the tape, it was a dangerous situation."
In what way? if it was that dangerous she would have been wearing a helmet. Yep, she went to visit a war zone and that's a good thing. but nobody made her dress it up as something mroe than it was. Meantime, it still near the top of the news, despite what you seem to think.

It's funny how much I go back and forth on wanting the primaries to be over and NOT wanting them to be over.
This week I'm appreciating what we're seeing of both candidates.

rather rudely stated. Even when I switch their current positions it seems a decent opinion that Obama has a far superior political reaction, not perfect, but more in tune with a presidential bid. Hillary keeps frustrating the high expectations that were never fully tested. I think it becomes apparent except for diehard supporters whose loyalty has some good basis and is commendable(and maybe even to them) that this is a big reason she is losing the political battle. you can lump it into personality, judgment, etc, but the public seems to be weighing in toward Obama, something our crazy quilt, interfered with primary process does not always clarify.
There are several things I am sure she might think she might have done earlier and clobbered Obama. The reason she didn't is why they don't work very well now. Looking for some accidental flaw or event to rescue her won't polish her image at all at this point.
