She deliberately brought up the Rev. Wright thing again today, so I am dropping my promise to not bad mouth her on DU... Piss on her, she needs to go now!

the religious-rally "I have sinned" photo op, I guess she decided she needed him one more time, for one more tawdry reason. I don't think she treats anyone as actual human beings, just as pawns. Like Bill Richardson, for example.

15. Didn't seem to work for Kerry either
I believe him, and it still did no good. People believe what they want to.

But he fucked up one word in a joke, and she fucked up an entire story. Seems a tad far fetched.

30. Perhaps she had a couple of baby boomer moments....
Don't forget, says Kesner, that our ability to remember isn't perfect, no matter what our age. We get distracted, our minds are full of too much information, we can't remember details. "We ultimately reconstruct most of what we remember," he says.

from: Fear of losing memory worries baby boomers http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249,600125377,00.html

Happens to a lot of us baby boomers.

35. She didn't lose a memory.
Edited on Tue Mar-25-08 04:21 PM by Mooney
She fabricated an entirely new, previously nonexistent one. That's not the same as just forgetting something. If she wants to blame this on her age, she'd be better off characterizing it not as senior moment but as Alzheimer's dementia.

36. Has she ever been under threat of sniper fire?
Memory isn't perfect, so she could just be conflating two events. But if she hasn't risked being shot at before, it sure is a strange thing to make up. It reminds me of Reagan's days spent fighting NAZIs shirtless on the beaches of Normandy, with only his sharp wits and quick right hook between him and a thousand German soldiers.

39. Hillary is turning into the Walter Middy of our times...
Then again, I think the whole "inflating your past" thing is probably normal for politicians. They spend half their lives rehashing what they previously did, so all they eventually end up remembering is not what happened - instead they just remember the stories they told about what happened.
