I think It's time for John Edwards
To endorse Obama and make Hillary's defeat INEVITABLE! "Oh cruel twist of fate."

2. Obama's likely victory in NC makes it highly unlikely that he'd ever endorse Hillary, IMO
If he had endorsed her earlier, that would be one thing. Now that people are actually paying attention to NC, it would be too embarassing for words if he was on the wrong side of the outcome there.

3. I think, given the very fine condition of Elizabeth, John should do as he pleases
and ignore politics entirely if he sees it is so warranted.

Peace to both of them.

4. What do you think he's waiting for?
Is he holding out in negotiation for a cabinet position, or the VP slot?

5. He's afraid to "betray" the Clintons. It's obvious.
I don't know what to make of John Edwards anymore. He will have no impact whatsoever on the race no matter what he does.

10. It'll take more than Edwards to stop this crap--
It will take a tag team of Carter, Gore, Edwards and Biden all at once to throttle down the Clinton demolition derby..

13. Absolutely not.
He needs to take the high ground and stay out of the entire brawl.

Then when the convention is deadlocked, he can be considered as the candidate who can redeem this fiasco and unite the party in November. He, or Gore. Or both.

23. Almost none: a couple in this thread alone,
a bunch more scattered around DU, and plenty of others in the general population, including supporters of the current two who ended up supporting them because there was no one left.

21. Doubt that will happen, remember
MARK HALPERIN: Yes, that's right. And I can tell you, he's really skeptical of her ability to be the kind of president he wants. But, he kinda thinks Obama is..he thinks Obama is kind of a pussy. He has real questions about Obama's toughness, his readiness for the office.he has real doubts about Obama, not just as a president, but as a general election candidate.
