Scaife's Paper? She Went To His Paper To Make Those Comments About Obama?
Did she endorse McCain while she was at it?

7. Her Comments Made About Wright
to the editorial board of Scaife's paper. I wish someone would ask her if she now regrets sitting next to Wright at the "I Sinned" breakfast.

Its all a big joke, evidently.

4. Guess So
Too bad I didn't realize that back when I was adamantly defending her and BC against the attacks of Limbaugh and Scaife.

Wonder if she and BC now have fleas.

You lie down with Republicans, you get up with DLCs.

3. And Bill Clinton went on Rush Limbaugh's show the day of the Ohio/Texas primary.
That same day, Rush's website homepage featured a photoshop of Bill and Hillary's faces attached to cockroach bodies.

They don't seem to have any difficulty using their enemies of the past to attack their enemies of today. Isn't it maddening?

10. Perhaps I misspoke
Rush Limbaugh had a guest host that day. It was still Rush's show, and Rush's listeners tuned in. Mark Davis replayed his earlier Clinton interview on Rush's show, to Rush's national audience.

The day before the TX primary, Rush joked all day that he "felt a flu coming on." Perfect segueway for guest host Mark Davis to play his Bill Clinton interview on Rush's show.

There are some nice pictures of Mark Davis with Duncan Hunter, and a awesome photo library of Davis' visit to Gitmo, all on his website. Davis is also an outspoken Obama-basher. But I'm sure you already knew that. :-)

(To Davis' credit, at least he was firmly against Republicans crossing over to vote in the Dem Primary in TX.)

13. the blatant lie part of it
Clinton went on Mark Davis' local radio show in TX that morning.

Later that day, Davis subbed for Rush and replayed the interview he had done that morning.

That is not Bill Clinton "going on" Rush's show, anymore than Rush playing a clip of Obama and claiming Obama went on his show.

The fact that you guys don't even immediately recognize your tale as a bald-faced lie is just more evidence that hatred has twisted your judgement and your perception.

21. a guest host
Mark Davis.

And so what if Rush "planned" this - it still doesn't mean Bill Clinton went on the Rush Limbaugh show. It's a lie, and decent people would recognize it as such and stop telling it.

14. The Tribune-Review?
After all that Scaife and his gang of thugs put the Clintons through?

Is she really that desperate?

Well, I guess I have to give her credit for venturing into the belly of the beast. I would imagine she's courting the extreme wingnut vote by doing this, as opposed to the much larger competing paper, the Post Gazette.

17. Precisely
Not to mention:

“TRNP has been watching the growing media presence of a bevy of blondes on the talk-news circuit espousing the cause of Kenneth Starr in his single-minded pursuit of Bill Clinton. Four chief spokesmen for Mr. Starr--let's call them Starrlets--are Barbara Olson, Laura Ingraham, Whitney Adams, and Ann Coulter.

The first three are members of the Scaife-funded conservative media booking agency called the Independent Women's Forum (see above) which fields dozens of conservative women into the mediastream to mouth their opinions on multiple conservative issues.

Ann Coulter, as of early 1998, was a member of another Scaife-funded group, the "Center for Individual Rights." None of These Four need be members of IWF or any other Scaifian body to certify their positions: all four are reliably pro-Starr and anti-Clinton in their media enunciations. It's interesting that at least Olson, Ingraham and Adams--here, there and everywhere on the talk news circuit--have benefitted by a Scaife-funded agency to obtain prime pundit positions on news programs to act as stealth spokesmen for Ken Starr.

Who are these people?

See Viewer's Guide to Talk News for thumbnails on each. Briefly, we know that Laura Ingraham was a founder of the ultracon Dartmouth Review, a Reagan White House domestic policy adviser and speechwriter, a law clerk for Judge Clarence Thomas before he joined the SC (must have learned a lot there) and an activist at the Heritage Foundation (also heavily Scaife-funded, indeed Scaife-co-founded). As of early 1998 she was an attorney at Skadden, Arps, Meagher & Flom in Washington, D.C. (more about Ingraham in the FAIR article below). By September 1998, she had landed her own talk news show on MSNBC called "Watch It!"
