The real enemy is McCain now - not Hillary. Let's start focusing on the GE
and plan accordingly. I made a post on McCain's fuckups on Iraq last week, and cross-posted it to the Research Forum. I suggest we start making full use of the Research Forum so we can help Obama get stronger by the day and win the Presidency in a major landslide.

2. No, it's still Hillary, until she finally gets shut down. She's going to become
ever-more desperate in the next few weeks. My focus is on her.

4. Eh. Her desperation is laughable. She's already turned to the Fuckabee of the Democratic Party.
It's just best to ignore her. Obama's already climbing in the polls in PA with 4 weeks to go, and and planning on a 6 day bus tour of PA this Friday, so I would venture to say that PA is no longer Clinton County, but rather Obama County!

7. I'm sorry
but I'm with WD on this-WE have to keep calling her out on her lies and scummy tactics and THEN we can ALL (hopefully) focus on McSame

11. Somebody brought up an excellent point --
that what hurts either of the candidates now, hurts us all in the GE. We relish the negative stuff about the OTHER candidate, but those very things will be what the Reps will be using when we decide on a nominee. :scared:

I pretty much blame the Clinton campaign and her advisors for starting down the path and like seeing her/them get slammed, but looking ahead....

14. Well, the media loves the mudfest, and Obama will apparently be considered
weak if he doesn't hit back as good as he gets, so it's going to go down in the gutter even more. Some people love this stuff, especially the HRC supporters--they are hoping she goes to the convention, ripping Obama to shreds with RW-style smears the whole way.

18. I think Obama is hitting back in
a very impressive way. He's addressing and handling the charges, but not getting down and dirty. Staying above it all. I think he's appearing strong rather than weak.

If there are Reps who are considering coming over for the GE vote, we're not going to look too appealing if we come across as tempestuous, cruel little children, tearing someone to shreds. If the situation were reversed, that wouldn't inspire confidence in me.

So instead of us being enemies, we need to become united -- seriously. And tempus fugit.

3. hilary is the enemy until Obama
is the nominee..if you don't think so then you didn't see her on NBC tonight trying to smear him with egregious attacks on Pastor Wright to distract from her sniperliargate.

5. Bonobo had a great thread
on which tactics the Dems should use in the run against McCain.

VERY good suggestions, and it was exciting all being on the same side gunning for the REAL enemy!

10. There are so many similarities between Hillary and McCain...
in terms of the way they "do" politics, he can probably fight them both in the same breath (at least part of the time).

16. So true!
We have to concentrate on weakening McCain in the eyes of the public.

Obama is for involving Americans in the political process; McCain wants to continue GOP exclusion.

Obama wants to do what's best for all Americans; McCain is afraid of losing favor with his party machinery.

Obama will help Americans fix infrastructure weakened by GOP policies and build what's needed; McCain is too invested in GOP failure.

And I could go on...
