Just got back from my right wing feed store |
|
I go there to buy propane. When I asked the current price per gallon, I was told $2.79. I remarked, "Well, I guess it won't be getting any better soon." He said, "We'll see what president Obama does about it." These people are die hard righties. They give away the "Annoy a Liberal" bumperstickers. They seem resigned to Obama as president. YES!

7. I live in Texas - super Red and lots of feed stores! |

I'm surrounded by 'em. Based on my non-scientific observations, the most rednecked doofuses around here really don't have a problem with Obama. I don't think they will vote Obama. They'll just stay home - which is great for the Dems.
But don't get them talking about Sen. Clinton. They get all worked up and they will vote - against her - that is a promise.
I want a Democratic president. I knew Sen. Clinton would have, let me put this nicely, a "perception problem" that would hurt the Dems. Obama is our best candidate and he will win. I don't want to roll the dice and gamble on Clinton. I don't want to lose again.

8. Right after the Ohio Primary, I was having a beer in a bar in Northern Kentucky... |
|
... waiting for my coworkers to show up. I had an Obama button on my purse still, and some guy at the bar said, "President Obama, he'll fix everything!"
I glanced over at him, and in the coldest manner I could, said "You're being sarcastic, right?"
He said "No, I'm not! I like him, I'm sorry. He's going to be the first Democrat I will have voted for in my lifetime. I've had enough of this shit for eight years. Don't worry about what you guys did up north across the river. Ohio's crazy. He's going to be president."
I was kind of shocked. When my coworkers arrived, I sent him a beer. :-)

9. That's how you win elections - one vote at a time |
|
Obama has the momentum and that extra magic that you need to have to win. That special something that transcends party lines. Clinton doesn't have it and will never have it.
Obama reminds me a lot of RFK - who is before my time - but I've ready every RFK bio there is. We need every vote we can get and Obama will be the next president.
