Pat Buchanan on Chris Matthews....Secret Service Comment!
Edited on Wed Mar-26-08 11:47 PM by better tomorrow
Did anyone catch Pat Buchanan on Chris Matthews tonight and his "Secret Service Comment?"

In short, they were talking about a dream ticket with Hillary and Obama as running mates. I don't recall the whole conversation but when someone was talking about "trusting" each other, Pat made some dumb remark about if Obama were President that he couldn't trust Hillary if she were VP. He didn't say why but then when asked what Obama could do to gain her trust, Pat laughed and said, "Hire more Secret Service". Now, what does that mean? Is he implying that Obama might not be safe if Hillary is VP? We all can speculate what he might have been implying and I think that is over the edge.

Anyone? Anyone?

Pat is such a jerk but I think this is something that someone needs to call him out on. Email campaign to Beat the Press Dan Abrams????.....

1. I caught the gist of it, but I can't say I would feel comfortable with her in that spot.
1 heartbeat away from the Power. Sorry but that is my gut instinct.

2. The reporter April Ryan from the American Urban Radio Networks
said that its a trust issue...says J.C. Watts and many others including friends of the Clintons are saying Barack as President cannot trust Hillary as VP, but she can trust him. Obama cannot trust the Clintons.

Yikes.

12. I think its part of that silly season. Just some good old hyperbolic jabs. The RW loves this
bickering. They want to believe something so absurd as Obama needing to hire more SS because of Hillary. Silly.

6. yes, that is true....but, still, I think it is over the edge to say it on TV
maybe it IS a subject that needs to be discussed, though. That is why I wish someone would call him out on it and make it a discussion as to WHY he said that....

I already emailed MSNBC (a lot of email addresses) so I hope they explain it....

9. I like Pat but he too extreme in his views. It's always all one side or the other.

He seems to mostly get it right. But he places too much concern with it. Every thing is completely bad or completely good. Nothing is every in the grey area with him.

And he sure takes a negatively biased view on Obama.

11. Pat is right. If Hill is VP, Obama better hire a food taster!`
I don't trust the Clintons as Obama's VP. They will start some scandal and try to get him impeached just so she could move up to the presidency.
