How much money have you given to Democratic Underground? Just a rough estimate.

How much of your hard earned dollars, in your estimation, have you given to this website?

These are financially hard times for all of us.

Most of us are cutting our budgets right down to the bone. If we do have enough left over at the end of the month, perhaps we would be better off donating to the food pantry or the homeless shelter or the women's shelter in our own community.

I am curious as to how much each of us have contributed to this website.

1. I've been a member since November 2004

I give 30 bucks or so every time there's a fund-raising drive. Times are tight, but I get so much from DU (GD: P excluded at the moment) that I feel it's worth it.

Please don't take offense at that question. I know that I, personally, don't donate locally as much as I should.

14. Oh, yes, I support the state Democratic party,

and also make a monthly credit card donation (that I can't really afford, but I do it anyway) to my congressional candidate Diane Benson. I usually contribute what I can to the charities that call me, but I've kind of cut back on them because they were all hitting me up at once. I like to give to Amnesty International, ACLU, Special Olympics, and a few others. I keep my AI and ACLU current.

I have been a member since Feb 2005...so, just over three years...

As to donations?

Lots.

I always give on every fund drive, usually more than once.

And I more or less routinely buy starless folks a star.

I am lucky in that the financial hardships that have affected so many here, have not yet touched me ...

12. I think I've given $15 or $20 during their last drive

although I am still sort of new here. Do they ever do fund raisers for charity at this site?

I get food from a food pantry these days. And with my sister, I will be helping to support my mother starting in May.
